I'm a slower squatter as well. I attribute mine to mobility. I have to force myself into a deep position and it's really difficult to "uncoil" my stiff hips once I'm in that position.

I had a coach in college (Strength and conditioning) that programmed primarily using time intervals as opposed to reps. It was difficult!

I do remember he programmed for someone training in her garage alone and the program was SO different than the emotional programming he gave to athletes w competition during training
