*TRIGGER WARNING* -Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and for the next four weeks, we will be diving deep into each subcategory of DV. Each week, each special guest and I will be sharing the importance of domestic violence awareness, signs, terminology, resources, and the aftermath/healing journey.

Domestic Violence Awareness Series, Part 2:

This Week on The Brie Pod: Nathan Niles, School Counselor + Former Prevention Educator joins me to talk about safety, prevention, and how important it is to start having conversations regarding safety for school-age kids.

We discuss the importance of:
1. Encouraging children to talk about their concerns and to express their feelings; validate their feelings
2. Creating safety plans with your child.
3. Keeping the dialogue going
