Ulrich is co-director of the Pacific New Media Foundation as well as a professor. Coming inches to death, David was involved in an accident that took one eye from him. Although this was a life changing event, he does not perceive it as a tragedy. Instead, David adapted to his situation, and this resulted in a wonderful, new perspective on life. In his book, Ulrich uses his new-found perspective to show other’s that the glass is half full. He also discusses using photography as a creative outlet to expand consciousness, and present awareness to the present moment.
