In this episode, Kate talks about the uncertainty, rapid change and fear of the unknown can bring out anxiety in even the strongest of us. In this week’s The Ambitious Mum Podcast, I chat with @dr_orlena , a paediatric doctor, Health coach and mum of four kids. Spain-based and also in Coronavirus lockdown, Orlena offers relevant and sage advice regarding how we deal with homeschooling and the importance of caring for ourselves and each other during these tumultuous times. . . We talk about what elements of our lives to focus on and what, at the moment, can simply go out the window! We also discuss the reality of the “new normal” facing us and the complete change in our daily routines and how we adapt to this as families. Together we try to give you some reassurance at this time, as well as hope and positivity for the future. . . Dr Orlena Kerek trained as a paediatric doctor in the UK. In 2011, she moved to Spain with her husband and 2 young kids. When Orlena "accidentally lost" her medical career after having her twins, she turned to studying again to keep herself busy. In the last few years, she has pivoted to help frustrated professional mothers to lose weight by leading a healthier life so they can feel fit and happy. The 4 pillars of self care that she teaches are nutrition, exercise, sleep and emotional wellness. She draws from her own experiences (still walking the trenches of parenting!), as well as from the latest scientific research and thinking. . .
