She draws from the Catechism's teachings on Christian art (specifically icons, but embracing paintings, sculptures, music, architecture, poetry, theater and even technological art). Mary also draws heavily from St. Pope John Paul II's 'Letter to Artists' in 1999. She talks about the spirituality of meeting and reflecting the image of the Creator in the process of creating art. And she also explains the importance of working with the Holy Spirit (the Breath of God Who is the Author of all human inspiration) in creating beauty that glorifies and points to Heaven.
