David Suess of Practical Catholic discusses the continuation of fake people. In the previous episode, I went over the importance of good self esteem, and I explained how the lack of self consciousness of who we are and of our failture to live an intentional life can cause people to become fake. This is because we are brought into a society that encourages a certain behavior and encourages us for our talents. In essence, we are brought into a society that creates robots. It does not emphasize contemplation and meditation on who we are, what are made for and what does God want us to be. Great saints were never fake because they knew who they were.
Today'ss episode continues our discussion of the "Fake people syndrome," and engages the listener in how Catholicism seems to facilitate this fake behavior. Many Catholics will say that Catholics are so fake and not real. And many feel as though the Catholic church is nothing more than a bunch of rules to make us robots. (October 24, 2019)
