Lily is sharp as a tack. She makes connections I would never think of. Love this!

you should get her Rudyard Kipling's "Just So Stories" "But when she has done that, and between times, and when the moon gets up and night comes, she is the Cat that walks by herself, and all places are alike to her. Then she goes out to the Wet Wild Woods or up the Wet Wild Trees or on the Wet Wild Roofs, waving her wild tail and walking by her wild lone."

Eve was a second attempt. Lilith was created at the same time as Adam and was his equal Genesis 1:27-28. When she dared to ask for some control over when and how she was fruit filled and multiplied she was kicked out of Eden along with her kids! God then took a rib of Adam's and made the less equal and more controllable Eve Genesis 2:20-23 So Eve had a built in flaw. She was unquestioning obedient not just to God or Adam but any talking snake that happened by... So the fall wasn't through disobedience but mindless obedience. Lilith wouldn't have fallen for the trick though she may have tried the fruit out of curiosity? Wonder where Cain and Seth etc found wives? In those days angels descended to earth from heaven to "know" mortal women and there were already many fallen angels lurking about. Lilith's kids. Some half sisters, some half Angels and some cute little devils Pure assumption on my part but I think Lilith was a redhead and Eve a blond!

Your daugters perspective, that Adam listened to Eve and was then punished was kinda interesting. If Adam hadden't listened to Eve would God then just have punished Eve? If yes, doesn't that mess up his whole holy-matrimony thing?

(Oops, guess you can't make paragraphs on this site, sorry...) My favourite interpretations is still in Daniel Quinn's Ishmael. Essentially: Hunter/Gather societies live off the land with no need to work the land and trusting the Gods to know what is right for them and all other creatures; societies that started farming the land did things like esterminate predators, stop others from eating the crops (even once they'd had their fill) and so on. Essentially, the farmers thought they had the knowledge of the Gods (but they did not, as the fruit was only effetive on God). The farmers justt thought that they knew what was good and evil and thus had the right to kill other creatures as they willed. [For example, look at nature films where a lion, after it's eaten its fill, is basically ignored by the nearby prey animals.]

While Lily's interpretations are great, this is now my second-favourite interpretations.

I have to say as a jew(or at least I grew up as a jew I don't really know what I'm now) who lives in Israel and has to do a final exam related to the Tanach, I never got to read the English versions of the stories (mainly because who uses the translation when you have the original language), and I find the words they choose very interesting cause many times the translation include interpretation for example I one watched a video when they quoted a verse about the Nefilim and translated that as giants, which has nothing to do with the root Nafal - to fall of the word

Some may find reading the Bible to a child as a child cruelty. Your daughter has a great laughter 😄 Best wishes!

I am so glad that Lily was exposed to a much better read and explanation for all the same stuff, and Douglas Adams' 5 book trilogy is much more consistent and believable.

The commentary is fine and the reading is good, Lilly plays herself as well as anyone in the business. The story needs work and has several inconsistencies already, nobody believes that snakes could ever talk,(they just whissssper to each other.)
