Is Your Pet's Shampoo Doing More Harm Than Good?
Have You Bathed Your Pet with a Cancer-Causing Shampoo?

Often well-meaning pet parents unintentionally harm their pets through the foods they feed them, treats they lovingly give, and the shampoos they bathe them in.

You may have recently watched a video on social media showing a dog suffering the toxic effects of a plug-in air freshener. The video prompted pet parents to rethink their use of candles, air fresheners, and cleaning products. I’m happy to say that pet parents are now eliminating these toxins from their homes benefiting both their pets and their families.

These online conversations had me questioning other pet products and shampoos came to mind. Are pet shampoos safe or could they potentially harm our pets? I took to social media to poll my listeners asking them which brand of pet shampoos they use. After researching each brand, it was obvious pet shampoos are not always what they advertise.

There's cause for concern with no regulation on pet products, no standard of ingredient purity, and fuzzy ingredient labels with words you simply cannot pronounce. Is it any wonder pet parents feel confused and lulled into a false sense of security?

We are guardians of our pets, and it's down to each one of us to ensure the pet products we buy are safe and beneficial.

In today's show, I'm addressing pet shampoos and the cancer-causing ingredients they may contain. Surprisingly this can include shampoos prescribed by your veterinarian.
