This episode is 🔥. Pure 🔥. I highly recommend. Adam Brown is the founder of Sircle Media in NYC and they are definitely on the cutting edge of social media marketing.

Sircle is an amazing agency and they fantastic work for their clients. Their social channel is proof of this. As an agency they have decided to focus more on marketing their clients than marketing themselves.

They put their clients and their corporate culture ahead of any kind of shameless plugs (that most other agencies make). And because of this successful strategy, they have clients who have been with them for a LONG time and they have cultivated very happy customers.

Adam walks through tactics and suggestions for each of these three pillars and explains how your brand can leverage them to their maximum potential.

He also explains that business strategy should always drive social strategy- not the other way around.

Whatever the business objectives are - you layer in social on top of it, when you do that, and you continue to do that consistently, thats when you have success.

He lets us know what brands usually get wrong with social media -
They underinvest financially and emotionally in social media, most companies look at it as a nice-to-have or a luxury rather than a must-have.

Most brands shrink back on social when times get tight. When times are tough it’s not the time to let off the gas.

Most brands are also very siloed, they are either all content (art, video, photos post) or all engagement or all metrics (ROI’s), and not always a good balance of all 3.

Adam wishes more people/brands knew that in social media, followers are NOT the metric you should be looking at. Instead Look at cost per thousand REACHED *not cost per thousand impressions*.

He also advises to measure your engagement because it is the gold 💰 in the hills of social media - most brands don’t work this like they should. A lot of brands leave “money on the table” when they don’t invest time into engagement.
