show moreThere is an expression that in life you always get another chance. Sometimes, though, they are not really as obvious or clear as the Quebec trip. In fact, sometimes second chances don’t look anything like first chances on the surface. For example, sometime in your life you will have a friend who says something about you that hurts you. You cannot undo the act, but you will have a second chance to choose another friend who will honor your trust.
For some of you, you will lose a loved one. What will your second chance look like in that case? There is a movie entitled, “Second Chance.” It is about a 10 year old girl who is badly hurt in an accident that kills her father. It tells about her second chance. I recommend the film to anyone who is struggling to see what a second chance looks like.
An unknown author wrote, “Opportunities are never lost; they are taken by others.” Thomas Alva Edison wrote, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Edward F. Halifax writes, “He who leaves nothing to chance will do few things poorly, but he will do few things.”
Be willing to look in unusual places for your second chances. You will be better for your searching and finding.
