North African clubs are dominating, with Al Ahly of Egypt at number 1, with 33m followers across all platforms. Tanzanian clubs Simba and Young Africans have strong showings, while the top West African club on social media is Asante Kotoko of Ghana, at number 22, and the top Nigerian club is a second-tier side, Vandrezzer FC, at 29. We look at how other clubs can improve their presence on social media, and how they can benefit financially from social media.
