Our inspirational guest, Alycia Anderson, was born with a disability called sacral agenesis where her spinal cord never fully developed. Because of this, she has had to be in a wheelchair for her whole life. Through the support of her parents and loved ones, she discovered a passion for wheelchair tennis and learned how to live life to the fullest and to find her strengths. She gained the confidence to go to college, receive her master’s degree in Adapted Physical Activity, and encourage others to put their plans in motion. Through her trials and tribulations, Alycia has learned to embrace her opportunities and has become an advocate for pursuing your dreams and being inclusive in everything you do. Tune in to hear how Alycia gained the determination to be open to new experiences by opening new doors.
