To have good health you have to eat everything and not eliminate any food from the diet that we think can be harmful. The key is in balance, to eat varied and rich, without also obsessing over nutrition. Here we reveal what are the 6 mistakes in the diet that should be avoided to enjoy proper habits at the table.

1-Skipping a meal: it is thought that by stopping eating you will lose weight more easily, but we are totally wrong. In fact, the opposite effect is produced. By not producing contributions to the body, it ends up reducing its activity to avoid losing energy. Also, if, for example, we skip the snack, when we get to dinner we will be much hungrier and we will eat uncontrollably at the last meal of the day. Experts advise eating five times a day and in moderate amounts.

2-Carbohydrates are fattening: in the list of foods that provide carbohydrates are rice, pasta, fruit or bread. These products do not carry fat by themselves. The problem is not them but the accompaniments. For example, eating spaghetti with mushrooms, garlic, parsley and oil is not the same as eating spaghetti with cream, bacon and cheese. The second option will give us much more fat than the first. Carbohydrates are the perfect fuel for athletes.

3-Light foods help you lose weight: actually the only thing they achieve is to provide fewer calories compared to normal products. By themselves they do not have any type of effect. There is a belief to think that because they are light in fat or sugar, light foods can be consumed in greater quantities, but that is not the case. In the case of cola, the best option would be to replace them with natural juices or herbal teas.

4-The fruit is fattening after the meal: the same amount of calories are supplied to the body whether it is eaten before or after the meal. If you have ever been recommended to take it before, it is because this way you will be satisfied much sooner and you will not eat so much food at the table. Fruit at any time of the day is healthy.

5-Wholegrain products are not fattening: the consumption of whole foods is recommended because they have more vitamins, fiber and minerals compared to refined products. However, the amount of calories is very similar.

6-Margarine is less fattening than butter: both are fat. The only difference is in the provenance. The first is of plant origin, while the other of animal origin.

In any case, the most advisable thing is to carry out a balanced diet, consisting of five meals a day, where we can take all kinds of food to our stomach in a varied way. In the kitchen it is advisable to prepare the dishes in the oven, papillote, iron, steam or boiled. You can not miss water during the day. At least a couple of liters should be drunk.
