Génesis 7: ¿Qué diría Dios de ti?
Ayer estudiamos cómo Dios escogió a Noé para construir el arca. Hoy vamos a leer el capítulo donde se desarrolla el evento del diluvio. Leamos los primeros versos. No olvides leer todo el capítulo.
Génesis 7:1-14 RVA2015:
1 Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Noé: “Entra en el arca tú, y toda tu familia, porque he visto que tú eres justo delante de mí en esta generación. 2 De todo animal limpio toma contigo siete parejas, el macho y su hembra; pero de los animales que no son limpios solo una pareja, el macho y su hembra. 3 De las aves del cielo toma también siete parejas, macho y hembra, para preservar la especie sobre la faz de la tierra. 4 Porque después de siete días yo haré llover sobre la tierra durante cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, y arrasaré de la faz de la tierra todo ser viviente que he hecho”.
5 Y Noé hizo conforme a todo lo que el SEÑOR le mandó.
6 Noé tenía seiscientos años cuando vino el diluvio de aguas sobre la tierra. 7 Noé entró en el arca, y con él sus hijos, su mujer y las mujeres de sus hijos, por causa de las aguas del diluvio.
8 De los animales limpios y de los animales no limpios, de las aves y de todo lo que se desplaza sobre la tierra, 9 de dos en dos entraron en el arca con Noé, macho y hembra, como Dios había mandado a Noé. 10 Y sucedió que a los siete días vinieron sobre la tierra las aguas del diluvio.
11 El día diecisiete del mes segundo del año seiscientos de la vida de Noé, en este día fueron rotas todas las fuentes del gran océano y fueron abiertas las ventanas de los cielos. 12 Y hubo lluvia sobre la tierra durante cuarenta días y cuarenta noches. 13 En este mismo día entraron en el arca Noé, sus hijos Sem, Cam y Jafet, la mujer de Noé y las tres mujeres de sus hijos con ellos. 14 Entraron ellos y todos los animales según su especie, todos los animales domésticos según su especie, todos los animales que se desplazan sobre la tierra según su especie, todas las aves según su especie, y todo pájaro, todo lo que tiene alas.
¡Qué evento tan impresionante! Anteriormente existían muchas historias en diferentes culturas acerca del diluvio pero ahora con la ciencia se ha demostrado que hubo este evento en la Tierra, que ocurrió un gran diluvio y se ha comprobado cuando los arqueólogos y geólogos han estudiado la superficie de la tierra.
La frase que quiero que aprendamos hoy y analicemos está en el verso 1, donde Dios habla con Noé y lo confirma como un hombre que ha agradado a Dios en medio de su generación. ¡Esta declaración de Dios hacia un ser humano es grandiosa!
Imagínate que Dios, después de haber sufrido mirando a la humanidad caer de forma desenfrenada en el abismo de la maldad y el pecado, destruyéndose entre ellos mismos y sin importarle ofender al Creador, se contenta y se alegra de haber encontrado a un solo ser humano que se había guardado él y su familia de mezclarse con esos malos hábitos y acciones que todo el mundo practicaba.
Esto realmente toma mucho esfuerzo y voluntad humana. Podemos deducir que Noé se había propuesto vivir en integridad y justicia. Noé había aprendido de que su padre lo había visto como alguien especial. Siguió los pasos de su antepasado Enoc y fue en contra de toda corriente de filosofías y prácticas humanas. No se amoldó a las costumbres mundanas que se practicaban, ni siguió el camino de sus vecinos.
Según el libro de Hebreos, Noé fue un hombre que desarrolló una fe tan grande que creyó a la advertencia de Dios acerca del diluvio y siguió palabra por palabra, al pie de la letra los planos diseñados que Dios le reveló, a pesar de que nunca había caído una sola gota de lluvia en ese tiempo, pues la tierra se nutría de agua por medio del rocío de la mañana.
Sigamos el ejemplo de este gran hombre que tal vez lo tildaron de loco, tal vez se burlaban de él al construir un barco gigante lejos de la orilla del mar.
Al final, Noé siguió la voz de Dios y el resto de la población ni siquiera se dieron cuenta de que el arca estaba abierta para todo aquel que quiera salvarse porque estaban tan hundidos en sus prácticas mundanas que, cuando quisieron entrar al arca, ya Dios había cerrado la puerta y solamente Noé, su familia y los animales se salvaron.
Preguntémonos hoy: si el Señor nos mirara, ¿que diría de nosotros? ¿Miraría que somos justos o injustos?,
¿que vivimos en integridad o apariencias?
Escudriñemos:
Utilicemos hoy la técnica llamada PERSONALÍZALO. Lee el verso 1 y el verso 5, después quita el nombre de Noé y pon allí tu nombre en estos dos versos. Después utiliza la técnica llamada ÓRALO, y dale gracias al Señor por haberte escogido y pídele que te convierta en una persona como Noé: íntegra y justa.

Genesis 7: What would God say about you?
Yesterday we studied how God chose Noah to build the ark. Today we are going to read the chapter where the flood event takes place. Let's read the first verses. Don't forget to read the whole chapter.
Genesis 7:1-14 NLT:
When everything was ready, the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the boat with all your family, for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous. Take with you seven pairs—male and female—of each animal I have approved for eating and for sacrifice, and take one pair of each of the others. Also take seven pairs of every kind of bird. There must be a male and a female in each pair to ensure that all life will survive on the earth after the flood. Seven days from now I will make the rains pour down on the earth. And it will rain for forty days and forty nights, until I have wiped from the earth all the living things I have created.”
So Noah did everything as the Lord commanded him.
Noah was 600 years old when the flood covered the earth. He went on board the boat to escape the flood—he and his wife and his sons and their wives. With them were all the various kinds of animals—those approved for eating and for sacrifice and those that were not—along with all the birds and the small animals that scurry along the ground. They entered the boat in pairs, male and female, just as God had commanded Noah. After seven days, the waters of the flood came and covered the earth.
When Noah was 600 years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the underground waters erupted from the earth, and the rain fell in mighty torrents from the sky. The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights.
That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives. With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind.
What an impressive event! Previously there were many stories in different cultures about a flood but now with science it has been shown that there was an event on Earth that a great flood happened and it has been proved when archeologists and geologists have studied the surface of the earth.
The phrase that I want us to learn today and analyze is in verse 1, where God speaks with Noah and confirms him as a man who has pleased God in the midst of his generation. This declaration of God towards a human being is great!
Imagine that God, after having suffered watching humanity fall unrestrainedly into the abyss of evil and sin, destroying each other and not caring to offend the Creator, is content and happy to have found a single human being that he and his family had kept from mixing with those bad habits and actions that everyone practiced.
This really takes a lot of effort and human will. We can deduce that Noah had proposed to live in integrity and justice. Noah had learned that his father had seen him as someone special. He followed in the footsteps of his ancestor Enoch and went against all currents of human philosophies and practices. He did not conform to the worldly customs that were practiced, nor did he follow the path of his neighbors.
According to the book of Hebrews, Noah was a man who developed such great faith that he believed God's warning about the flood and followed word by word, to the letter the designed blueprint that God revealed to him, despite the fact that a single drop of rain had never fallen at that time, because the earth was nourished with water through the morning dew.
Let's follow the example of this great man who was perhaps called crazy, perhaps they made fun of him for building a giant ship far from the seashore.
In the end, Noah followed the voice of God and the rest of the population did not even realize that the ark was open for everyone who wanted to be saved because they were so sunk in their worldly practices that, when they wanted to enter the ark, God had already closed the door and only Noah, his family and the animals were saved.
Let us ask ourselves today: if the Lord looked at us, what would He say about us? Would He see that we are fair or unfair?, that we live in integrity or appearances?
Let's scrutinize:
Today let's use the technique called PERSONALIZE IT. Read verse 1 and verse 5, then remove Noah's name and put your name on these two verses. Then use the technique called PRAY IT, and thank the Lord for having chosen you and ask Him to make you a person like Noah: upright and just.
