Génesis 46: En la incertidumbre acude al Señor.
Génesis 46:1-7:
1 Así partió Israel con todo lo que tenía y llegó a Beerseba, donde ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac. 2 Y Dios habló a Israel en visiones de noche y le dijo: —Jacob, Jacob.
Y él respondió: —Heme aquí.
3 Le dijo: —Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre. No temas descender a Egipto, porque allí yo haré de ti una gran nación. 4 Yo descenderé contigo a Egipto y ciertamente yo también te haré subir de allí. Y la mano de José cerrará tus ojos.
5 Partió Jacob de Beerseba, y los hijos de Israel hicieron subir a su padre Jacob, a sus niños y a sus mujeres en las carretas que el faraón había enviado para llevarlo. 6 Tomaron también sus ganados y sus posesiones que habían adquirido en la tierra de Canaán. Fueron a Egipto Jacob y toda su descendencia con él. 7 Llevó consigo a Egipto a toda su descendencia: a sus hijos y a los hijos de sus hijos, a sus hijas y a las hijas de sus hijos

Pasemos al verso 26 hasta el 34:
26 Todas las personas que fueron con Jacob a Egipto, sus descendientes directos, sin contar las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob, todas las personas fueron sesenta y seis. 27 Los hijos de José que le nacieron en Egipto, fueron dos; así todos los miembros de la familia de Jacob que entraron en Egipto fueron setenta.
28 Entonces Jacob envió a Judá delante de él a llamar a José para que viniera a encontrarlo en Gosén. Mientras tanto, ellos llegaron a la tierra de Gosén. 29 José hizo preparar su carro y fue a Gosén para recibir a Israel su padre. Él se dio a conocer, y echándose sobre su cuello lloró mucho tiempo sobre su cuello. 30 Entonces Israel dijo a José: —¡Ahora ya puedo morir, puesto que he visto tu cara, y que vives todavía!
Después del reencuentro con sus hermanos, José estaba listo para ver a su padre después de muchos años. ¡Cómo habrá sido el impacto tan fuerte en el corazón de Jacob cuando sus hijos regresaron llenos de bendiciones y con carruajes para llevárselo a Egipto!
Jacob había vivido sus últimos años lleno de dolor por la pérdida de su hijo José, y luego se agregó otro gran dolor de decepción al enterarse que José realmente estaba vivo y escuchar la confesión de todos sus hijos. Todo esto lo tomó por sorpresa, pues era algo increíble.
Jacob se levantó para ir a Egipto, pero antes hizo una parada en Beerseba donde Abraham e Isaac ofrecieron sacrificios al Señor. Jacob estaba muy perturbado y tenía un poco de temor, pues Dios le había dicho a su padre Isaac que no fuera a Egipto en tiempos de necesidad.
Después de que él ofreció sacrificios al Señor, el Señor le habló directamente y le dio palabras de seguridad y confianza para que él fuera a Egipto, pues Dios tenía planes grandes con él y con su familia.
Esta lección que nos da Jacob es muy importante porque debemos aprender a entrar continuamente a la presencia de Dios para presentarle todo nuestros proyectos de vida, todos nuestros planes para que el Señor confirme en nuestro corazón y para quitarnos el temor o indicarnos el camino correcto que debemos seguir.
En tiempos de temor, clama al Señor. En tiempos de confusión, consulta con el Dios Todopoderoso que conoce el pasado, el presente y el futuro.
Por último, quiero que usemos el método VISUALÍZALO, para imaginar ese abrazo largo y conmovedor que José y Jacob se dieron.
A pesar del tiempo que se perdió, a pesar de que las fuerzas de Jacob no eran las mismas y José ya era un adulto, Jacob aceptó que ¡Dios le estaba dando bendiciones invaluables! Liberándose del luto que llevaba cargando por años y disfrutando de una vejez muy feliz y bendecida, rodeado de todos sus hijos y de sus nietos.
Espero que puedas entrar a la presencia del Señor con confianza y exponer todas tus inquietudes delante de Él. Que puedas recibir seguridad cuando tengas que enfrentar situaciones que producen incertidumbre en tu corazón. Tal vez personas que te rodean intentarán aconsejarte conforme a sus opiniones, pero al final, el Señor es el que está obrando en tu vida y la de tu familia. Si eres el líder de tu casa, entra a la presencia del Señor y deja que Él te afirme para que puedas dirigir correctamente tu casa, caminando por la fe, estando seguro que el Señor te ha dado la luz verde para avanzar y atravesar esas aguas inexploradas donde debes navegar.

Genesis 46: In uncertainty turn to the Lord.
Genesis 46:1-7:
So Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. Then God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
So He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes.”
Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob, their little ones, and their wives, in the carts which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. So they took their livestock and their goods, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him. His sons and his sons’ sons, his daughters and his sons’ daughters, and all his descendants he brought with him to Egypt.

Let's go to verse 26 to 34:
All the persons who went with Jacob to Egypt, who came from his body, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, were sixty-six persons in all. And the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt were two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who went to Egypt were seventy.
Then he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to point out before him the way to Goshen. And they came to the land of Goshen. So Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; and he presented himself to him, and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while.
And Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, because you are still alive.”
Then Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and say to him, ‘My brothers and those of my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me. And the men are shepherds, for their occupation has been to feed livestock; and they have brought their flocks, their herds, and all that they have.’ So it shall be, when Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘What is your occupation?’ that you shall say, ‘Your servants’ occupation has been with livestock from our youth even till now, both we and also our fathers,’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
After the reunion with his brothers, Joseph was ready to see his father after many years. What a shock it must have been in Jacob's heart when his sons returned full of blessings and with chariots to take him to Egypt!
Jacob had lived his last years full of pain for the loss of his son Joseph, and then another great pain of disappointment was added when he found out that Joseph was really alive and heard the confession of all his children. All this took him by surprise, because it was something incredible.
Jacob got up to go to Egypt, but first he made a stop at Beersheba where Abraham and Isaac offered sacrifices to the Lord. Jacob was very disturbed and a little afraid, because God had told his father Isaac not to go to Egypt in times of need.
After he offered sacrifices to the Lord, the Lord spoke directly to him and gave him words of security and confidence so that he would go to Egypt, because God had great plans with him and his family.
This lesson that Jacob gives us is very important because we must learn to continually enter the presence of God to present all our life projects, all our plans so that the Lord confirms in our hearts and to remove our fear or show us the right path that we must follow.
In times of fear, cry out to the Lord. In times of confusion, consult with the Almighty God who knows the past, present and future.
Finally, I want us to use the method called VISUALIZE IT, to imagine that long and moving hug that Joseph and Jacob gave each other.
Despite the time that was lost, despite the fact that Jacob's strength was not the same and Joseph was already an adult, Jacob accepted that God was giving him priceless blessings! Freeing himself from the mourning he had been carrying for years and enjoying a very happy and blessed old age, surrounded by all his children and grandchildren.
I hope that you can enter the presence of the Lord with confidence and expose all your concerns before Him. That you can receive security when you have to face situations that produce uncertainty in your heart. Perhaps people around you will try to advise you according to their opinions, but in the end, the Lord is the One who is working in your life and that of your family. If you are the leader of your house, enter the presence of the Lord and let Him affirm you, so that you can correctly direct your house, walking by faith, being sure that the Lord has given you the green light to advance and cross those unexplored waters where you must navigate.
