Génesis 1: Sea la Luz… en mi hogar!
Hoy comenzamos una nueva aventura en nuestro estudio diario de la Palabra de Dios. Y digo que es una aventura porque sentimos alegría y gozo cuando leemos la Palabra de Dios y la comenzamos a entender, descubriendo estos tesoros escondidos que el Espíritu Santo revela a aquellos que disponen su mente y corazón para aprender.
Espero que con la serie especial de “40 Días de la Palabra” el fuego del Espíritu Santo haya encendido en tu corazón la pasión por ser un fiel estudiante de la Palabra de Dios.
Hoy vamos a comenzar con el libro de Génesis y veremos el primer capítulo.
Génesis significa en latín y griego “origen” o “principio”. En la biblia hebrea, la Torá, se le llama Bereshit, que significa "En el principio", clara referencia de las primeras palabras de este emocionante libro.
Es por eso que se encuentra como el primer libro de la Biblia y además es el que comienza describiendo cómo Dios formó el universo, los planetas, esta tierra donde habitamos y por último creando su obra maestra, su mayor creación que es el ser humano.
Dios es un Dios de oportunidades, Él es un Dios que ilumina el camino cuando no sabemos a dónde ir o qué hacer cuando nuestro hogar se encuentra en caos o cuando estamos pasando una temporada de neblina densa y oscura.
Es por eso que el salmista entendió esto y declaró que “aunque ande en valles de sombra y de muerte, no temerá mal alguno porque Dios estará él”.
El Señor se especializa y se deleita en crear nuevas criaturas, formando nuevas vidas y restaurando hogares. Y qué mejor forma de adaptar esa perspectiva del poder de Dios que leyendo el primer capítulo de Génesis.
Leamos Génesis, capítulo 1, verso 1 al 5:
Creación de los cielos y de la tierra.
1 En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra. 2 Y la tierra estaba sin orden y vacía. Había tinieblas sobre la faz del océano, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la faz de las aguas.
3 Entonces dijo Dios: “Sea la luz”, y fue la luz. 4 Dios vio que la luz era buena, y separó Dios la luz de las tinieblas. 5 Dios llamó a la luz “día”, y a las tinieblas llamó “noche”. Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana del primer día.
Aquí podemos ver que este fue el comienzo de la creación pero fue un comienzo basado en una restauración. Al principio Dios creó los cielos y la tierra, dice el verso 1, pero en el verso 2 leemos que ¡Dios creó y formó sobre algo que estaba en desorden y vacío!
No sabemos a ciencia cierta porque estaba la tierra desordenada y vacía. Además, no había luz y solo dominaban las tinieblas. Lo que sí podemos entender es que, en medio del desorden y del vacío, Dios hace milagros y llena los vacíos con cosas hermosas; y lo que estaba desordenado lo convierte en un milagro grandioso que es la creación.
En medio de todo este caos y oscuridad, el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la faz de las aguas. Esto nos indica que el Señor tiene el control de toda circunstancia, y que Él está por encima de todo.
El plan divino de Dios se comenzó a ejecutar cuando el Señor abrió su boca y pronunció las primeras palabras: ¡Hágase la luz! En ese instante, las tinieblas se tuvieron que hacer a un lado porque el Señor dio vida a la luz. Él es la luz pero ahora esa luz apareció para poner orden en el universo.
El escritor de Génesis fue inspirado por Dios para que escribiera esta frase “Hágase la luz”, para mostrarnos que Él es un Dios que puede divinamente crear algo supremo y hermoso en donde existe caos total, oscuridad y pérdida.
Es más, tenemos el gran privilegio de haber sido llamados y escogidos por Jesucristo, pues la Biblia dice que por medio de Jesucristo se crearon todas las cosas y todo fue formado por Él y para Él. No importa la situación en que nos encontremos, el Señor con su presencia ilumina nuestras vidas. Es por eso que debemos estar llenos del Espíritu Santo y mantener ese fuego encendido. Además, la Palabra de Dios es como una antorcha que podemos usar cuando nos embarguen las tinieblas.
Deja que el Señor tome los vacíos de tu vida y el desorden que hay en tu hogar para que el Señor forme algo hermoso precioso y bueno. Permite que el Señor forme luz en tu propio mundo que es tu familia, y que alumbre las cosas que debemos cambiar y ser modificadas para poder corregir lo que debemos cambiar y así Dios perfeccione nuestras vidas.
Por último, escudriñemos usando una de las técnicas de estudio. Vamos hoy a PRONUNCIARLO. Basado en la lectura de hoy, pronuncia cada palabra de los versos 3 y 4, buscando diferentes sinónimos de cada palabra para que expandas tu conocimiento, y profundices más la Palabra de Dios en tu mente y corazón.

Genesis 1 Let there be light… in my home!
Today we begin a new adventure in our daily study of God's Word. And I say that it's an adventure because we feel happiness and joy when we read the Word of God and we begin to understand it, discovering these hidden treasures that the Holy Spirit reveals to those who open their minds and hearts to learn.
I hope that with the special series of “40 Days of the Word” the fire of the Holy Spirit has ignited in your heart the passion to be a faithful student of the Word of God.
Today we are going to start with the book of Genesis and we will look at the first chapter.
Genesis means in Latin and Greek "origin" or "beginning". In the Hebrew bible, the Torah, it is called Bereshit, which means "In the beginning", a clear reference to the first words of this exciting book.
That is why it's found as the first book of the Bible and it is also the one that begins by describing how God formed the universe, the planets, this earth where we live and finally creating His masterpiece, His greatest creation that is the human being.
God is a God of opportunities, He is a God who lights the way when we don't know where to go or what to do when our home is in chaos or when we are going through a season of dense and dark fog.
That is why the psalmist understood this and declared that "even though he walks through the valleys of darkness and death, he will fear no evil because God will be with him."
The Lord specializes and delights in creating new creatures, forming new lives and restoring homes. And what better way to adapt that perspective of the power of God than reading the first chapter of Genesis.
Let's read Genesis, chapter 1, verses 1 to 5:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.
Here we can see that this was the beginning of creation but it was a beginning based on a restoration. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, as verse 1 says, but in verse 2 we read that God created and formed upon something that was formless and empty!
We don't know for sure why the land was without form and empty. Furthermore, there was no light and only darkness ruled. What we can understand is that, in the midst of chaos and emptiness, God performs miracles and fills the emptiness with beautiful things; and what was before formless, now He turns it into a great miracle that is His creation.
In the midst of all this chaos and darkness, the Spirit of God moved over the face of the waters. This indicates to us that the Lord is in control of every circumstance, and that He is above it all.
God's divine plan began to be executed when the Lord opened His mouth and pronounced the first words: Let there be light! At that moment, the darkness had to be pushed aside because the Lord gave life to the light. He is the light but now that light appeared to bring order to the universe.
The writer of Genesis was inspired by God to write this phrase “Let there be light”, to show us that He is a God who can divinely create something supreme and beautiful out of total chaos, darkness and loss.
In addition, we have the great privilege of having been called and chosen by Jesus Christ, because the Bible says that through Jesus Christ all things were created and everything was formed by Him and for Him. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, the Lord with His presence illuminates our lives. That is why we must be filled with the Holy Spirit and keep that fire burning. Furthermore, the Word of God is like a torch that we can use when darkness overwhelms us.
Let the Lord take away the emptiness in your life and in your home so that the Lord can create something beautiful, precious and good. Allow the Lord to form light in your own world that is your family, and to illuminate the things that we must change and be modified in order to correct what we must change and thus God perfect our lives.
Finally, let's scrutinize using one of the study techniques. Today we are going to PRONOUNCE IT. Based on today's reading, pronounce each word of verses 3 and 4, looking for different synonyms of each word so that you expand your knowledge, and deepen the Word of God in your mind and heart.
Genesis 1: 3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.
