This week on the DMT 1-2-1 show an interview with Ben Brannen, the President of atVenu. The company is working hard to provide music industry professionals - whether artists, managers or tour managers - with an easy way to track merchandise sales whilst on the road thanks to an advanced ecosystem spanning across web and mobile apps. atVenu has already processed $85 million worth of merch sales and has settled thousands of shows, the service is available internationally.
Merchandise can be a pretty unsexy part of the music industry but is proving to be very resilient and Ben does a great job explaining what the current challenges are and how his company is trying to solve them.
