  • Ep.77: An interview with Yoel Kenan, CEO of Africori (DMT 1-2-1)

2 OCT 2014 · If you'd like to receive DMT's weekly newsletter sign up on bit.ly/dmtlist. This week on the DMT 1-2-1 show I chat with the founder and CEO of Africori, Yoel Kenan. Africori is a company that works across multiple territories in Africa dealing with music licensing and distribution for artists and labels. With offices in London, Cape Town and Lagos, Africori has been quietly building a strong network of relationships and Yoel chats about how the market is evolving, the biggest challenges in developing the music economy, payment systems, contractual issues, the importance of YouTube and much, much more. For me this was a particularly fascinating episode as I know extremely little about digital music in Africa - as demonstrated during the recording of DMT 199 at Berlin Music Week - so if you're on the same boat this interview should provide a good introduction to the topic. I really hope you enjoy the show, have a fantastic week and 'till next time! Andrea Leonelli http://www.digitalmusictrends.com http://www.twitter.com/digimusictrends
