But regardless of how you feel, you are an amazing parent.  However, you have to be willing to go the extra mile before you're too tired. The K.I.S.S. ~ Go the extra mile before you're too tired! This has been one of those really long weeks. Very late nights and early mornings. I was so tired that I fell asleep sitting up in a chair. Now, if that's not a clue, what more do you need? When you're too tired, go the extra mile before you get to that point.
- FOCUS on your NON-NEGOTIABLES - This is all about what really matters. You don't have to volunteer for everything. But you do have to draw the line in the sand to make sure your priorities are taken care of.
- CARE for YOURSELF - There is no way you can do everything. How do I know? Because I have tried for years. And now that I'm getting older, my mind and body have different demands. If you are beginning to get rundown, take your breaks, go to bed early, even take naps to keep you ahead of the craziness.
- SAY NO more than you say yes - Your season that is busier than normal does not have to be all YESes. If you say no, you are taking back your power and choosing what really matters.
Most of our exhaustion is seasonal. It doesn't last for years. If you are experiencing long-term exhaustion, please speak to your medical care provider and have a discussion as to what other culprits might be affecting you. Don't look at what you can't do as you parent. You can get through this season of life.  Take it one day at a time.
