  • 3380 Do You Feel Seen?

27 APR 2024 · In the dance of marriage, the spotlight often shines brighter on one partner while the other fades into the shadows. Do you feel like your light shines bright for the one closest to you; do you feel seen? For those who feel unseen in their marriage, the repercussions can be profound, touching on issues of self-worth, communication breakdowns, and a sense of loneliness within the union. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  Relationship experts emphasize the importance of feeling validated and acknowledged within the context of a partnership. Dr. John Gottman, renowned for his work on marital stability and divorce prediction, notes that "Feeling understood and appreciated are key components of a healthy relationship."  When one partner feels unseen, it can lead to a breakdown in these essential elements, creating a rift that deepens over time. Psychotherapist Esther Perel underscores the impact of feeling unnoticed, stating, "In marriage, one often feels like they are cruising through the motions, silently screaming for attention and connection."  This silent plea for recognition can manifest in various ways, from emotional distancing to engaging in behaviors that seek validation outside the relationship. The consequences of feeling unseen in a marriage are far-reaching. Lack of validation can erode self-esteem, leading to feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. Communication breakdowns often follow suit, as the unheard partner may withdraw or become resentful, further widening the gap between them. Over time, the emotional disconnection can culminate in a sense of loneliness, even within the confines of a committed relationship. "In marriage, the invisible wounds of feeling unseen can leave lasting scars on the heart, dimming even the brightest of love's light." - Kristianne Wargo What can be done if you are the one who feels unseen? The K.I.S.S. ~ Shine a light on what isn't seen! Whatever stays in the dark will be unresolved in the shadows of your every day. At some point, you have to be willing to shine a light on what isn't seen. 1. Initiate Open and Honest Communication: Expressing your feelings of being unseen to your partner is the first step towards resolving the issue. Schedule a time to have a calm, open conversation about how you've been feeling and what you need from them to feel more acknowledged in the relationship. And if you are not heard, you have bigger problems. 2. Seek Couples Therapy: Sometimes, having a neutral third party guide your discussions can be incredibly beneficial. Consider seeking couples therapy to explore deeper-rooted issues, improve communication, and learn strategies to ensure both partners feel seen and heard within the marriage. 3. Focus on Self-Care and Individual Growth: While working on your relationship dynamics, prioritize self-care and personal development; who you are and who you are becoming. Engage in activities that bring you joy, pursue hobbies that fulfill you, and prioritize your emotional well-being. By investing in yourself, you can cultivate a stronger sense of self-worth and resilience, irrespective of external validation. However, this is not about you fluffing your ego. This is about you becoming a better person regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in. Building a marriage where both partners feel truly seen requires a conscious effort to listen, validate, and appreciate one another. By acknowledging our partner's presence, celebrating their uniqueness, and fostering open communication, we can cultivate a relationship that thrives on mutual recognition and understanding. So, take a moment to ask yourself: Do you feel seen in your marriage? And if the answer is no, it may be time to shine a light on the unseen parts of your partnership, illuminating the path towards a deeper, more connected bond. Remember, a marriage where both partners feel truly seen is a marriage worth fighting for. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🎥 Karen Kingsbury Productions Presents https://someonelikeyou.movie 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? • 3379 Don't Miss A Moment

26 APR 2024 · Have you ever thought, "I just have to go because my kids will not forgive me if I miss it?" Oh, how we pressurize our parenting lives, expecting ourselves to be everything and go everywhere; don't miss a moment! That ever-pressing demand to be present for every moment of your child's life might initially start as a desire, but is it sustainable? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  In today's fast-paced world, being a parent can feel like being in a whirlwind of trying to be everywhere and go anywhere with your children, all while juggling work, household chores, and personal time.  The pressure to not miss a single moment of your child's life can be overwhelming at times. But is it really necessary to be constantly on the go and present for every single moment? Or is it about finding a balance and cherishing quality time with your children? Parenting experts like Dr. Shefali Tsabary, author of "The Conscious Parent," emphasize the importance of finding self-care and maintaining your own identity as a parent. It's crucial not to lose yourself in the chaos of raising a family. Remember, taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your children. Yes, that's true. But on the other side, if you have littles, they solely depend upon you. And that means you might be losing sleep if they need to be fed in the middle of the night. There is no clear-cut answer to this dilemma. This truly is dependent ton the season and stage of life. Honestly, it becomes circumstantial. However, in saying that, you can't say that when you have children, nothing will change.  Now that is a lie! Children change you!! You can't keep doing life the same way before you had children. Can you imagine what it would be like to take your child to work and have them sit in with you on business meetings and negotiations? To some degree, kids can go to work. But then your accessibility is limited.  So in looking at this, don't miss a moment of what you can control in the season and stage of life that you're in. The K.I.S.S. ~ Don't miss a moment that matters! That means you have gotta release the pressure of not missing a moment, because there might be other moments that you are needed more. Again, you have to look at this from what you can control. Here are three things parents can do to avoid losing themselves in the midst of feeling the pressure to not miss a moment: 1. Schedule "Me Time" - Make it a priority to schedule time for yourself, whether it's a relaxing bubble bath, a walk in the park, or indulging in a hobby you love. Setting aside time for self-care can help you recharge and be a better parent. The ME TIME is not to ignore the children, but to rejuvenate your heart in serving your family. 2. Delegate Responsibilities — It's okay not to do everything. Ask for help! Delegate tasks to your partner, family members, or a trusted babysitter. Pay someone to do the jobs that other people can do so you can do the jobs only YOU can do.  3. Be Present in the Moment - While it's important to create lasting memories with your children, it's also essential to be present in the moment and not just physically there. Put away distractions like phones and work emails, and truly engage with your children during quality time together. You hanging out in the bleachers, taking up space so your child sees your face? That is NOT being present. That is merely making a statement that you are a super mom or super dad. But really, where does that land at the end of the day? It might be great if you're Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. But otherwise, it falls flat.  Be careful not to fall into the trap that busyness puts you in because all you have are seconds cause you didn't want to schedule minutes. Slow down to speed up! Your day is not a marathon even though it feels that way. So take a step back and decide what really matters from the situation. Maybe your child would be okay with you missing the play, but they really want you there when for their first prom. Communicate with your children and the ones you are raising your kids with. Figure out how you can parent well without driving yourself into the ground. Don't miss a moment. Or better yet - don't miss a moment that matters to your child. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #TodaysParent 🎥 Karen Kingsbury Productions Presents https://someonelikeyou.movie 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? • 3378 Find Strength In Exhaustion

25 APR 2024 · The weight of responsibilities can feel overwhelming, and the fatigue can seep into every crevice of our beings. In those moments when it seems like the world is moving a million miles an hour, find strength in exhaustion. In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, it's not uncommon to hit that wall of exhaustion that makes everything seem insurmountable; barely able to lift a finger, sapping our motivation and leaving us feeling stagnant. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  Dead's not fun! Yet, it's during these times of deep fatigue and weariness that our true resilience shines through.  It's easy to keep going when the sun is shining and the wind is at our backs, but it's during the storms of exhaustion that our grit and determination are truly tested. When every step feels like a herculean effort, when even a simple smile feels like a heavy burden, it's important to remember that this too shall pass.  The K.I.S.S. ~ Find strength in exhaustion! As Kristianne Wargo wisely said, "In the midst of exhaustion, we find our strength."  It's in those moments of deep fatigue that we discover reservoirs of inner strength we never knew we had. It's when we feel like we're drowning that we learn to swim.  So, how do we keep going when every fiber of our being screams for rest?  Instead of looking at the mountain of responsibilities ahead, focus on taking one step at a time. As Lao Tzu said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."  By breaking down your tasks into smaller, more achievable goals, you'll find that the seemingly impossible becomes possible.  And don't forget to see when you're running on empty. You can't get anywhere if you don't have fuel.  It's crucial to maintain the energy and motivation needed to keep going. As Audre Lorde famously said, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation." Whether it's taking a hot bath, going for a walk in nature, or simply taking a few moments to breathe deeply, self-care is essential to replenishing your energy stores.  Simply BREATHE!! Remember, you are stronger than you think.  "When the weight of the world feels too heavy to bear, remember that you have the power to rise above it." ~ Kristianne Wargo So, take a deep breath, gather your strength, and keep moving forward. In the midst of exhaustion, you will find your resilience, your determination, and your true strength. "Be present. Be incredible. 22 APR 2024 · When the world around us seems to be crumbling, finding the strength to keep moving forward can be an immense challenge. It's as if we're stuck in a rut, unable to break free from the heaviness of our surroundings. Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, it's crucial to remember that we have the power to navigate through the storm and emerge stronger on the other side.  Regardless of what is happening, stay the course! The K.I.S.S. ~ Stay the course! Now if you choose to stay the course, it's not going to be easy. You are accepting a challenge that you have no control over EXCEPT your own responses to the situation or circumstances. Here are three actions individuals can take to stay the course, reinforced by insights from experts in resilience and mental well-being. 1. Cultivate Grit As renowned psychologist Dr. Angela Duckworth emphasizes, cultivating grit is essential in weathering tough times. Grit is the tenacity and resilience to persevere in the face of challenges, setbacks, and failures. By developing a mindset focused on long-term goals and staying committed to them, individuals can summon the inner strength needed to overcome adversity. 2. Stay Resilient with Self-Care Another key aspect of staying resilient during difficult times is practicing self-care. Dr. Vivek Murthy, former Surgeon General of the United States, underscores the importance of maintaining physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Engaging in activities that bring joy, seeking support from loved ones, and prioritizing rest are vital components of self-care that can replenish our energy reserves and fortify us to face life's storms. 3. Be Vulnerable Furthermore, Dr. Brene Brown, a research professor who specializes in resilience, highlights the significance of vulnerability in building emotional resilience. Acknowledging and processing our feelings, sharing our struggles with trusted individuals, and seeking help when needed are courageous acts that can foster connection and resilience. "Vulnerability wins the heart." ~ Kristianne Wargo In the words of Kristianne Wargo, "Just as a tree needs support to weather a storm, your dreams require nurturing and protection to flourish amidst chaos and uncertainty." By tending to your dreams with care and taking proactive steps to safeguard them, you can sustain your momentum even in challenging times. Remember, like the determined dog digging around the tree, you have the power to secure your dream, replace the shaky ground with firm support, and continue growing towards your aspirations. Stay rooted in your purpose, stay connected with your support system, and stay resilient in the face of adversity. Your growth is unstoppable, even when the world around you may seem to be crumbling. • 3374 Reclaim the Sabbath

21 APR 2024 · Busyness tends to mute the need to rest. But how can you live life if you don't pause for the cause of refreshment? Instead of giving your power away to another day, reclaim the Sabbath. In today's fast-paced world, where hustle culture often takes center stage, the concept of Sabbath may seem outdated or impractical. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  But how is rest outdated or impractical? However, delving into the true essence of the Sabbath from a biblical perspective sheds light on its profound significance. Sabbath, originating from the Hebrew word "Shabbat," means to cease or rest. In the book of Genesis, we read that God rested on the seventh day after creating the heavens and the earth, establishing a rhythm of work and rest. We are consistently encouraged to find rest in the Lord throughout the Bible. Psalm 62:1 reminds us, "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him." Peace and security are found when you entrust your life to God.  The Greek term "sabbaton" signifies a day of sacred assembly and rest. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus extends a powerful invitation, saying, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." This invitation serves as a comforting reminder that in our moments of exhaustion and overwhelm, we can find comfort and renewal in the presence of the Lord. The K.I.S.S. ~ Reclaim the Sabbath! Renowned evangelist Dr. Robert Schuler emphasized the importance of the Sabbath, stating, "Sunday is the perfect day to refuel your soul and to be grateful for each and every one of your blessings." This sentiment is echoed throughout the Bible, underscoring the divine recognition of rest as a vital component of our well-being. Hebrews 4:9-10 further emphasizes the significance of entering into God's rest, stating, "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This passage underscores the spiritual rest that transcends physical relaxation, inviting us to release our burdens and find peace in God's unchanging presence. In a world constantly vying for our attention and productivity, reclaiming the Sabbath is not merely a matter of convenience but a reflection of honoring God's design for holistic living. Kristianne Wargo aptly says, "In the stillness of the Sabbath, we find restoration for our souls and realign our priorities with what truly matters." The Bible consistently portrays rest as a foundational aspect of our faith journey, reminding us of the restorative power of surrendering to God's care and provision. As we realign our perspective on Sabbath, let us embrace the divine invitation to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate, recognizing that true fulfillment transcends the relentless pursuit of productivity. • 3373 Stop Being A Doormat

20 APR 2024 · In a marriage, feeling like a doormat can slowly chip away at your sense of self-worth, leaving you feeling undervalued and dismissed. How can a marriage survive if you don't stop being a doormat? When one spouse feels like they are constantly being walked over, it changes the dynamic of the marriage. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  Marriage is no longer a partnership; it becomes a one-person show. Dreams and goals are no longer considered. And maybe you're not sure if you are in a marriage where you are the doormat, or treating your partner as such. The "walking all over" effect can manifest itself in various subtle or overt ways that erode one's sense of self-worth and the value you add as an individual. Marriage, yes, is a partnership where 2 become 1; however, the individual is not lose themselves because of another person. Some examples of being a doormat in marriage is: 1. Lack of Communication: Your spouse consistently dismisses or belittles your opinions, feelings, and needs. Your voice is silenced and you feel unheard in important discussions or decision-making processes. 2. Unequal Power Dynamics: One partner consistently exerts control over the other, making unilateral decisions without considering the other's input or feelings. This imbalance of power can lead to a sense of helplessness and lack of autonomy. 3. Emotional Neglect: Your emotional well-being is neglected, and your spouse fails to show empathy or support during challenging times. You may feel isolated and unsupported in dealing with your emotions or struggles. 4. Constant Criticism or Blame: You are frequently criticized, blamed, or made to feel responsible for issues in the relationship, even when they are not entirely your fault. This pattern of negativity can erode your self-esteem and confidence over time. 5. Lack of Appreciation: Your efforts, contributions, and sacrifices go unnoticed or unappreciated by your spouse. Your value in the relationship is overshadowed, leaving you feeling unacknowledged and unvalued. Signs that you might be feeling walked all over in your marriage include: 1. Feeling like your needs and opinions are consistently ignored or devalued. 2. Always giving in to your partner's demands or desires at the expense of your own. 3. Constantly feeling drained, unfulfilled, or unappreciated in the relationship. 4. Having a sense of powerlessness or helplessness in influencing decisions or dynamics within the marriage. 5. Experiencing a lack of emotional support, empathy, or understanding from your spouse. Recognizing these signs is the first step towards reclaiming who you are and who you are becoming, your self-worth within the marriage. If you want to have a healthier, more harmonious relationship dynamic, you need to address these patterns and reclaim your voice. The K.I.S.S. ~ Reclaim your voice! As you consider this for yourself, be careful to make sure you look at it from both perspectives. Being in a marriage means you do need to take into consideration both you and your spouse. Because if you are quick to point fingers and not look at the totality of the marriage and what you bring to the relationship, then your actions, or lack there of,  can be just as bad as what is being done to you. Here are three essential steps to reclaim your voice and stop being a doormat in your relationship. 1. Set Boundaries: Marriage counselor Leslie Vernick emphasizes the importance of setting healthy boundaries in a relationship. Communicate assertively with your spouse about your needs and limits. Dr. Gary Chapman, author of "The Five Love Languages," suggests that understanding and expressing your needs can help create a more balanced dynamic in the marriage. 2. Practice Self-Care: Make self-care a priority in your life. Jimmy Evans, founder of MarriageToday and XO Conference, stresses that taking care of yourself emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually can strengthen your sense of self-worth. Remember, it's essential to fill your own cup before you can pour into your relationship. 3. Seek Counseling: If you feel consistently unheard and undervalued in your marriage, seek the support of a professional counselor. A trained therapist can help you and your spouse improve communication, address underlying issues, and work towards a healthier relationship dynamic. As Kristianne Wargo wisely said, "You can stop being a doormat, but it first starts with who you are and who you are becoming." Remember, reclaiming your self-worth is a journey that begins with prioritizing your own well-being and setting boundaries that honor your value in the relationship. By taking these proactive steps, you can begin to shift the dynamic in your marriage and foster a more respectful and equitable partnership. It's time to stop being a doormat and start valuing yourself within your relationship. "Be present. Be incredible. • 3372 Do You Nurture Potential Or Dreams?

19 APR 2024 · As parents, it's natural to envision a bright future for our children. We may hope they excel in areas we value, whether academically, athletically, or artistically. However, do you nurture their potential or their dreams?  In a world where societal pressure can influence parental decisions, it's essential to remember that a child's happiness and fulfillment should always come first. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co  Nurturing a child's potential involves recognizing and developing their inherent abilities, talents, and strengths. This can include providing opportunities for growth, education, and skill development in areas where the child naturally excels. However, it can encourage more of your desires regardless of what the child states. On the other hand, supporting the child's own dreams entails encouraging and empowering them to pursue their passions, interests, and aspirations, even if they may differ from what parents initially envisioned for their child. It involves listening to the child's desires, understanding their goals, and providing the necessary support and guidance to help them achieve their dreams. While nurturing a child's potential may involve identifying areas of strength and talent to foster growth, supporting the child's dreams is about acknowledging their individuality and allowing them to explore their unique path to fulfillment. Both approaches are valuable in shaping a child's future, as they encompass a balance of encouragement, empowerment, and personalized support tailored to the child's needs and aspirations. But you must always keep the interest of the child first! Dr. Meg Meeker, a renowned pediatrician and author, emphasizes the importance of guiding children toward their own passions and dreams. "Every child is unique, with their own set of gifts and talents," she explains. "It's crucial for parents to listen to their children, understand their aspirations, and support them wholeheartedly." Parenting expert Dr. Laura Markham echoes this sentiment, stating, "Children thrive when they are allowed to explore their interests and pursue what brings them joy. Our role as parents is to provide guidance and encouragement, not to impose our own agenda." Ultimately, you've got to guide to provide. The K.I.S.S. ~ Guide to provide! If we are always chasing what we "think" is going to be good for the kiddos, when will we ever see the truth as to what "is" good for the children? "Our eyes and ears need to be open so our heart can see what inspires our children to be." ~ Kristianne Wargo Three Ways to Support Your Child's Dreams: 1. Listen Actively: Take the time to engage in meaningful conversations with your child. Encourage them to share their thoughts, dreams, and aspirations. You'll gain insights into what truly matters to them by actively listening. 2. Provide Freedom: Offer your child the freedom to explore different interests and hobbies. Avoid imposing rigid expectations and allow them to discover what truly resonates with their heart. 3. Celebrate Their Unique Qualities: Recognize and celebrate your child's individuality. Encourage them to embrace their strengths and passions, even if they differ from your own preferences. Kristianne Wargo wisely reminds us, "A parent's love and support should serve as a guiding light, illuminating the path for our children to follow their own dreams." In a world where external pressures can cloud our judgment, it's essential to prioritize our children's happiness and well-being. By embracing their uniqueness, celebrating their passions, and providing unwavering support, we empower them to soar toward success on their own terms. Remember, the greatest gift we can give our children is the freedom to be themselves. "Children are like budding flowers; our role as parents is to nurture their unique beauty, not force them into predetermined molds." - Kristianne Wargo "Be present. Be incredible. Yet, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there lies an opportunity to shift our perspective and turn the tables on bad news. Renowned psychologist and author, Martin Seligman, once said, "Learned helplessness is the giving-up reaction that follows from the belief that whatever you do doesn't matter." These words ring true in the face of adversity. Dweck, known for her research on the growth mindset, emphasizes the importance of cultivating a resilient attitude toward setbacks. She states, "The view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life." This notion highlights the transformative power of mindset in shaping our responses to adversity. In the words of Kristianne Wargo, "Don't let the chaos of the world bury the blessings that are right in front of you." This powerful reminder serves as a beacon of hope in times of darkness. By acknowledging the blessings amidst the storm, we can find strength and courage to navigate life's challenges. As you navigate the ups and downs of life, it's crucial to remember that bad news does not define us.
