Be ever so cautious not to put words into your spouse's mouth. Regardless of whether it is a good day or a bad day, you will not get it correct no matter what. Speak for yourself. Own your feelings and how you see the situation. Let your spouse speak for himself. That's his job. Ask questions for clarity. If you make assumptions, they only get you into trouble and most definitely can lead you to a heated discussion, disagreement, or fight. Keep it positive. Don't allow yourself to get in a slump and be all negative. There is enough of that in the world. Your words do not have to ring negative. Give your words a positive twist always.
