This is part#2 of the series of African American Entrepreneurs Holocaust "Who Killed The Black Entrepreneurs," where we picked up from Jim Crow to Prohibition Era of the 19th century. Prohibition allowed certain ethnicities, and gangsters like Al Capone to Lucky Luciano to rise in financial power. 18th and 19th century gangsters brought in money and power which helped build their communities, while African Americans where kept neutralized economically by laws and codes.
