Cal State Fullerton and
Long Beach State baseball teams that took part in one of the most infamous brawls in college baseball history.
30 years ago on April 16, 1993, a brawl broke out in the top of the fourth inning, when Long Beach catcher
Brian Whatley plowed into Fullerton catcher
Bret Hemphill during a rundown that precipitated a bench-clearing brawl. The brawl delayed the game roughly 15 minutes and resulted in four ejections.
