If we put too much time into watching the world, we won’t get back the second and minutes required to make up an hour. Yet, we don’t want to come across as disconnected or someone who’s fallen behind. We’re putting too much time into watching the world. Putting our noses in other people’s business. When we want the same attention we feel aloneness. Our problems aren’t big enough to garner the attention of others. So we go back to watching the world in the name of comparing our problems with those facing a larger situation. The push to keep growing forward has got to be accomplished without watching the world in the corner of our eyes. We’re not getting the time back and it will never be an income tax write off.
