Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is one of the fastest growing children’s hospitals in the Midwest. Annually, over 200,000 children from all over Michigan and beyond, receive care in any of its 50+ specialty lines of service. From 2012 to 2018, it has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best children’s hospitals in the country. Additionally, its neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is ranked among the top five largest in the country. The children’s hospital is part of a larger network known as Spectrum Health Hospital Group.

In its 19th year, the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Radiothon is a two-day call-in fundraiser. It is broadcast on the family favorite radio station STAR 105.7, country music radio giant B-93.7, and on the lakeshore country radio station “The Moose” 107MUS—each heard throughout West Michigan. Each station creates its own distinct broadcast and content. Funds are raised in a variety of ways including phone pledges made by listeners, corporate sponsorships, volunteer pledges, and in-kind donations.
