The debate over payin gathletes rages on, and while some oppose paying players directly, it should be easy for us all to agree that players should be able to receive compensation for use of their name and likeness. A new California bill would allow for this to happen, and it should set the tone for college athletics going forward. Ryan Divish wrote a piece that gives us a look into John Stanton as a Mariners owner, including his frustration with the current team. For all of our complaints about the current team, it's good to see an owner that is at least present, and cares about the product on the field. Hopefully that'll translate to a turnaround for the team. The Rays' ownership is discussing splitting the team's time between Tampa and Montreal. Is this really feasible? WDAE's Steve Carney fills us in on the latest. On Something Good, remember to check the organ donor box, because you never know what's going to happen.
