Battle of Zaporizhzhia

The Battle of Zaporizhzhia is a military battle that started on 27 February 2022, during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, as part of the Southern Front offensive. Zaporizhzhia is a major city along the Dnieper River in Central Ukraine.

On 26 February, the Russian 22nd Army advanced north from Crimea and began approaching the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.[1][2] The plant was set on fire and attacked by Russian forces on 3 March.[3][4][5]
