Featuring:
Jemima Dunlop - Navitas Communications Channel Manager & Podcast Host (Brisbane, Australia)
Cathy Tobin - Head of Corporate Affairs, Careers & Industry division at Navitas (Byron Bay, Australia)
Carol Vale - Founder & CEO of Murawin (Sydney, Australia)
Navitas is on a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) journey that will help our organisation become a more attractive place to study and work; a place that makes us proud, where everyone belongs, has a voice and feels valued.
In the fourth episode of the DEI podcast, I speak with Cathy Tobin and Carol Vale on the topic of Navitas’ journey to reconciliation in Australia. Earlier this year Navitas launched its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. The RAP is Navitas’ first formal step in our journey to reconciliation and commitment to creating a fairer, more respectful and kinder place for First Nations peoples to work, study and thrive.
On this episode Cathy and Carol speak about Navitas’ decision to formalise its journey to reconciliation in Australia, the relationship between Navitas and Murawin, and how both organisations are partnering to implement our first RAP and develop our organisation’s cultural competency.
