As it’s mental health week, in this podcast Sarah discusses loneliness and what this means when you are a consultant, often working on your own. Having a support network around you is essential. This can also sometimes be the reason that consultants decide to return to the corporate world, as they miss having a team, or people around them.

There are things that you can do, in order to raise your energy, so that you don’t feel isolated. For example those who have attended the Leap into HR Consulting Virtual Bootcamp have said that the support and on-going community during and after, with those who have been on the same or similar journey, really makes a difference.

This is also why Sarah set up a private Facebook group which is aimed at HR consultants who are looking at growing and developing their business. It’s free to join, but there is a real sense of community.

Sarah goes on to discuss the recent comments by Lord Alan Sugar about working from home, and how they have created a lot of discussions. What do you think?
