A sexy photograph or flirty message posted on social media for the intent of causing others to publicly profess their attraction. Ready to set up your game this Valentine’s Day and make the most of your sweet treats? Time to play matchmaker between your candy and your adult beverage of choice. If you’re not sure where to start, food and beverage experts are here to help. Here are some alcohol and Valentine’s Day candy pairings that bring out the best of the flavors!

Dark Chocolate & Port Wine - The fruity sweetness of port wine balances out the bitter richness of dark chocolate and Schor says “the mouthfeel of this pairing is superb.”

SweeTarts & Sauvignon Blanc - This wine is naturally tart and mixes well with the sugary sweet and tartness of the candy.

Swedish Fish & Rosé - The wine is floral and “fruit forward,” but not overly sweet, so it makes a great combo with the sugary sweetness of the Swedish Fish.

Fireball & Candy Hearts - Conversation hearts are pretty chalky and plain, which pairs perfectly with the overpowering cinnamon whisky.

Pop Rocks & Champagne - Bring on the fizzy goodness with the combination of Pop Rocks and bubbly for an intense sugar high. Just don’t put the candy in the Champagne because the experts warn that combination could be explosive.

I've seen people do PLENTY of weird stuff on planes. But this makes "taking off your shoes and putting your bare feet on the seat in front of you" look normal.

There's a 44-year-old guy named Matthew Flaherty, and he was on a flight last year from London to Iceland. And he was drinking STRAIGHT GIN out of the bottle and got extremely drunk. He started hitting on a female passenger, and when she ignored him, he started cursing her out and screaming he was going to kill her family. Then he shouted more death threats at the flight crew.

Then . . . he took his cell phone apart and started EATING THE PIECES. He also left the battery on his seat and it started SMOKING. A flight attendant dunked it in water to get it to stop.

The pilots decided to divert the flight to an airport in Scotland, where Matthew was escorted off the plane and arrested. He was in court this week and pleaded guilty to several charges, including disorderly conduct and making violent threats. He'll be sentenced next month.
