Auzubillahi minashaitan nirajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.

Allahﷻ says in the Holy Quran (Surah Al-Shahr - The Relief, 94 : Verse 5),

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

‘For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief].’ It is the Promise of Allah Most High that with every difficulty there will come ease.

Thanks be to Allah, for the heavy month of Safar has passed with ease. There were no physical calamities, but have we also passed Safar free from all spiritual calamities?

Spiritual distress is the true calamity that befalls a believer constantly. The difficulties of current worldly affairs have caused the impure state of one’s heart, weakness in one’s faith and the vileness of Ego to surface during the month of Safar.

Mawlanaق is concerned for the state of his mureeds and with the arrival of Blessed Rabi’ul Awal, the month of the Sacred Birth of The Merciful Prophetﷺ, those who seek to relieve themselves from spiritual dirtiness, will find relief Insha’Allah.

Mureeds must now shift their vision towards their internal states and imagine themselves as astronauts on a space mission. They neither belong in space, nor were they created for it. They are placed there temporarily for a short period of time, equipped with spacesuits - the exterior body, while the real person - the soul, is trapped inside and he will discard his spacesuit when he returns homebound, to earth - to Allah Almighty.

Therefore wise ones will focus on what is of value to Allahﷻ, a clean state of one’s internal condition, the heart and soul.

Allahﷻ said to Sayyidina Ibrahim Alayhi Salam that at the Door of Death, those who will safely enter into Eternity are those who present themselves before The Lordﷻ with a pure, golden heart.

يَوۡمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ۬ وَلَا بَنُونَ / إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبٍ۬ سَلِيمٍ۬

“The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children, But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.” [Qur’an; 26:88-89].

The heart must therefore be cleansed before Death arrives and once purified, it becomes the Honoured House of Allahﷻ, the supreme gift bestowed only upon Mankind.

“Indeed My earth and My heavens could not contain Me but the soft peaceful heart of My believing servant can.”-Hadeeth Qudsi in Ihya ‘Uloom Al-Deen of Imam Al-Ghazali Vol. 3.

Our Holy Prophetﷺ is the embodiment of the House of Godﷻ and is also The Living Word of God, The Holy Quran.

The Quran is, in the perspective of one who truly understands, a celebration of Allahﷻ Conversing with His Belovedﷺ, and no one can understand the sweetness of The Love without seeking to learn and becoming eloquent in the Heavenly language of Quranic Arabic.

As we are celebrating MawlidurRasulﷺ this month of Rabi’ul Awal, we are also celebrating hisﷺ Message of The Quran in hope to attain spiritual purity and the Pleasure of Allahﷻ.

Hence, focus on cleansing the spiritual heart and relieving the sick soul of internal calamities with sincere repentance, asking for the gift of total submission to Allah’s ﷻ Will, zikrullah, salawat, and Quran recitation, seeking the Pleasure of Allahﷻ and in honour of the Sacred Birth of His Belovedﷺ.

May Allahﷻ increase our love for Prophetﷺ, grant us relief from all spiritual distress and make us from those who are granted light to become Ahlul Quran, having true vision in every atom of our being.
