Throwing it back to the episode I listen to when I need a reminder that my sad girl feelings are very valid! Betweent the dreary weather, the state of the world and so much more, this summer has been a bit of a bummer and it can be easy to feel like you're being over dramatic. In this weeks episode of POV, Divine discusses the other side of the daddy issues, trust issues spiral. She discusses building systems that allow her to express gratitude and to still see the silver lining even when things are not going well. She talks about balancing heart break, triggers and pain with the ability to still recognize gratitude in her every day life.
She also discusses self sabotaging as a punishment for consistent singledom; anxious, and avoidant attachment vs. the goal of becoming securely attached. She also poses the question, “When I am dating how do I detach and focus on myself as well as the people I am seeing in a healthy way?” Our illustrious host also discusses her current road block in therapy.

In part 1 of this episode, we return to the subject of attachment. As someone who is anxiously attached, Divine is not the best when it comes to “detachment”. Often, her bouts of anxious behavior are paired with spirals and this week was no exception. In this episode, Divine finds herself at the unfortunate crossroad of realizing that she is in fact not perfect. It was a shocker to everyone and we are still shaken by the realization.
Divine doesn't want to be "that girl" the one men can smell the daddy issues on from a mile away. In fact, she's done a great job deflecting and shedding any remnant of that hunger--that craving for male validation. She's rid herself of that.
Yes, for a time she was healed. Stamped clear of the dreaded "trust issues" but now, our sexy host has realized she isn't in the clear. She's simply isolated. Now, she catches glimpse of these issues", lurking in the deep caverns of her mind patiently waiting for the moment when she has to put trust in someone else's hands.
They sulk around waiting to reinforce those negative thought patterns.
