This is a 40 minute walk. In our third walk together Anna reads excerpts from two chapters, “You’re Welcome Lady Gaga” and “We’ll Laugh About This … Someday.” It’s true, Anna does have a bizarre connection to Lady Gaga, but the deeper message from this chapter is the desperate need to be liked and the one way Anna overcame this huge obstacle in her life in order to be prepared for greater responsibilities and opportunities. Then she gives you a tease from the chapter when she gets lost in the Redwoods and literally thinks she might die. Hilarious! ::awkward laugh::

8 SEP 2021 · The "It's Not That Serious Podcast" presents the "Walk With Me" series, hosted by Anna Lind Thomas. Welcome!
Each episode is crafted as a perfect companion for walks you and I will take together. I'm doing my very best to entertain you, make you laugh, inspire you and make walking our new favorite thing to do together! We walk together 3xWeek for 3 weeks.
This is a 40 minute walk. In our second episode Anna reads excerpts from two chapters, Chubby Kids Laugh Last and Eat First and Merle, My Period and Me. Anna wrote Chubby kids to set the scene for the entire book and how one incident of bullying changed the trajectory of her life. I could read like a tragic story, but it was actually just what she needed to be the woman she is today. Then we pivot the My Period, Merle and Me for LOTS of laughs. Walk, laugh, be inspired. Subscribe so you don't miss an episode!

23 SEP 2019 · How we take care of ourselves inside and out matters.
I hate to say it.
When we treat our body with dignity, we feel dignified - and there’s this intoxicating energy that comes with it that even makes our family feel good too.
If doing something or wearing something helps me feel strong and confident, I WANNA DO WAY MORE A THAT.
And whatever makes me feel like hiding when the doorbell rings, I WANNA DO WAY LESS A THAT.
This isn’t about meeting cultural beauty standards. This is about taking the time and effort to do that things that make us feel strong and confident. Some women feel boss in sporty clothes. Some in a dresses. Some in shredded jeans, some in leather. Some in all natural, locally sourced cotton blends. Some with little to no makeup, some looking like they took a Tammy Faye Baker online makeup tutorial.
It’s whatever lights you up!
Taking care of ourselves shouldn’t be considered self-care as if it’s a luxury - it should be self-maintenance - things we must do to live long, healthy, confident lives.
Are you engaged in self-care or self-sabotage? Are you standing tall and proud … or hiding?
If all it takes is a little lip gloss, then girl - put it on! And I don’t care if you got no place to go!
It matters.
Enjoy today's episode!
