16 FEB 2023 · Ademola (Dem) Adewale-Sadik, Walker Brumskine, and Michael Nance will discuss: their success in founding Yellow Banana, a U.S. based retail firm that owns and operates 38 Black-owned grocery stores generating over $130 USD million in revenue; their career trajectories since meeting as students at Yale Law School; their commitment to becoming entrepreneurs, and to help underserved communities; as well as their decision to also launch the holding company, 127 Wall. The conversation will also explore the ways that principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, including their own personal stories, have shaped their leadership styles, and influenced their professional decisions. They provide advice to other entrepreneurs looking to launch impactful ventures; as well as to law students and MBAs as they begin their professional journeys.
