7 JAN 2025 · In today’s sermon, on the feast of Theophany, Fr. Micah describes the beauty and the greatness of Christ’s baptism. He points out how the Old Testament foreshadows this event through stories such as Creation, the Flood, and the Exodus.
Fr. Micah also points out the characteristics of water and what it can teach us. Water is essential to life, just as our relationship with Christ is essential to our life. Water seeks out the lowest places, just as we should seek out the low places, being humble in all things. Water reflects the light of the sun, just as we can manifest Christ’s light into the world.
25 DEC 2024 · On Christmas morning, Fr. Gregory delivers an archiepiscopal encyclical from His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.
25 DEC 2024 · In his Christmas Eve sermon, Fr. Micah encourages us to honor the great mystery of the Incarnation, God becoming man. We have all heard the accounts of the birth of Christ, and it can become a routine story to our ears. However, Fr. Micah encourages us to reflect on the depth and the greatness of this mystery, to ponder that on the day of Christ's birth, he whom the universe itself cannot contain is contained in a cave for our salvation.
