29 SEP 2026 · How do we truly open our hearts to others when being vulnerable feels like such a dangerous risk?In this moving message on
Philippians 2, we explore the deep human tension between wanting to be fully known and loved, yet feeling terrified of rejection. Tracing our struggle with self protection back to the garden of Eden, we see how sin broke our relationships and drove us to hide. Yet, Paul reveals that the gospel changes everything about how we live together.
True unity in community requires true humility, a virtue that calls us to lay down selfish ambition, abandon control, and consider others more worthy than ourselves. While stepping out from behind our defensiveness can feel terrifying, Jesus showed us the ultimate pattern of love. Though He possessed all power and glory, Christ did not grasp at equality with God. Instead, He emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant to redeem us.
When we rely on the Holy Spirit, we can give up our defensiveness and embrace love. How is God calling you to step out in humility and bring restoration to your relationships today?
22 SEP 2026 · What does it truly mean to live a life worthy of the gospel alongside other believers?
In this powerful message from the Side By Side sermon series, we explore how Christian community is meant to do far more than just bring us comfort or friendship. Looking at Paul's letter to the Philippians written from a Roman prison cell, we discover that our shared belonging, love, and forgiveness are designed to form us for a greater purpose. Paul reminds us that our primary citizenship is in heaven, calling the church to stand firm in one spirit and strive together for the faith of the gospel. True discipleship goes beyond attending a service or joining a small group. It is about intentionally placing ourselves where Jesus can form us so we can effectively reach a world in need of hope.Â
As you reflect on this message, consider how God might be calling you to move beyond passive faith and actively partner with others to embody Christ's love in your everyday life.
15 SEP 2026 · What happens to your heart when someone you trust deeply hurts or disappoints you?
In week three of the Side by Side series, we explore how Christian community requires more than just belonging and loving one another, it demands continuous forgiveness. Diving into Matthew 18, we look closely at Peter asking Jesus how many times he should forgive an offending brother. While human nature seeks limits and metrics, Jesus calls us to a radical practice of mercy that stops keeping score altogether.
Through the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, we see that true biblical forgiveness is not math, nor is it conditional on reconciliation. It is the intentional choice to release impossible debts because God has already forgiven our ultimate debt in Christ. Refusing to forgive only traps us in prisons of bitterness, resentment, and lost joy.
If you find yourself holding onto a past offense, let this message encourage you to surrender those wounds to God today. Take a moment to reflect, release the debt, and choose the freedom of grace so we can truly stay side by side.
9 SEP 2026 · How can we truly love others when Christian community gets messy and frustrating?
In week two of the Side by Side series, we look at the core fruit of living in spiritual community: love. Real Christian community is not romanticized or easy, because it is filled with imperfect people who can frustrate or disappoint us. Drawing from John 13 and Romans 12, Jesus commands us to love one another using a new standard, as he has loved us.
Before we can offer love, we must first receive the sacrificial, humbling love of Christ. Loving one another is not about Christian niceness or passive agreement, but an active decision to serve, honor, pray for, and bear burdens with those around us. By choosing intentionality over isolation, our genuine love for each other becomes a powerful witness to the world.
Take time this week to reflect on where God is inviting you to practice sincere love. How can you extend the grace you have received to someone in your church or life group today?
1 SEP 2026 · Have you ever tried running a long race completely on your own, only to realize how much easier the journey becomes when someone is running beside you?
In this opening sermon of our new series, Side by Side, we explore why the Christian faith was always meant to be shared, never lived in isolation. While our faith in Jesus is deeply personal, scripture shows us that it was never intended to be private. Drawing from Romans 12 and Acts 2, we are reminded that as believers, we are not merely individuals sitting in the same room. We are one body in Christ, and each member belongs to all the others.
Christian community is a gift created by Jesus to help us endure, grow, and thrive. From gathered Sunday worship to small group fellowship in homes, engaging with other believers provides the spiritual strength, encouragement, and accountability we need for the long race ahead.
Are you attempting to walk out your faith alone, or are you fully engaged with the body of Christ? Take time this week to reflect on where God is calling you to step into deeper community, share your burdens, and run side by side with others.
27 AUG 2026 · Have you ever relied on other people to define your faith, or have you personally answered the question of who Jesus is to you?
In this moving message, we explore Matthew 16, where Jesus asks His disciples a deeply personal question: Who do you say that I am? There is a profound difference between knowing what others say about Jesus and experiencing Him for yourself. Just like the disciples who walked, ate, and prayed alongside Christ, our understanding deepens when we spend intentional time in His presence.
Through daily spiritual disciplines like prayer and scripture reading, as well as gathered worship and authentic community, our lives are transformed by His grace. As we allow His character to take shape within us, we become living witnesses, reflecting His love, patience, and truth to the world around us. We do not carry the burden of saving anyone, because God alone reveals and transforms. Our calling is simply to keep showing up, seeking Him daily, and pointing others toward the Savior.
Take time this week to reflect on your daily rhythms. How is your personal time with Jesus changing the way you live and love others?
18 AUG 2026 · Have you ever felt like you were crying out in prayer, only to be met with complete silence?Â
It can feel as if heaven is quiet during our deepest trials, but silence is not absence. In this powerful message, we explore the story of the Canaanite woman from Matthew chapter fifteen who refused to give up, even when it seemed like her requests were being ignored. Her persistence reveals that when our faith is tested, it is actually being strengthened. When we face overwhelming challenges, carrying a desperate need requires us to step past our own pride and move into genuine worship. Real faith recognizes who God is even when circumstances feel uncertain.Â
No matter what situation you are facing right now, remember that God hears the cries of those who seek him with a sincere heart. Even in seasons of silence, he is working behind the scenes on your behalf. What area of your life needs a breakthrough today? Take a moment to bring your heavy burdens to him, trust his perfect timing, and stand firm in the promise that nothing is impossible with God.
11 AUG 2026 · Are you finding it difficult to trust God when the storms of life begin to rage around you? In this powerful message on Matthew 14, we explore the story of Jesus walking on the water and what it reveals about the true nature of faith and Christian community. Life often demands trust, yet our experiences, fears, and exhaustion can easily cause us to waiver. When the waves roll in and our internal confidence fails, where do we place our focus?
Discover how keeping Christ at the absolute center of your life transforms fear into courage. By examining Peter stepping out of the boat, we see that genuine faith is not an internal feeling of certainty, but a decision to listen to the voice of Jesus, regardless of our surrounding circumstances or lingering doubts. Even when we begin to sink under the weight of competing priorities, the physical grace of God is always ready to reach down and catch us.
Whether you are feeling exhausted from life's demands or battling doubt in a season of uncertainty, be encouraged to refocus your heart on the one who is completely worthy of your trust. Take time today to reflect on where you need to step out in faith and allow Jesus to hold you secure.
4 AUG 2026 · Have you ever wondered what it truly means to encounter Jesus at the communion table, and whether the bread and wine carry a deeper spiritual reality than we realize?
In this inspiring message, Fr. Eric explores the rich connection between the Passover, the miracle of feeding the five thousand, and the sacred tradition of the Eucharist. By looking closely at the Gospels and the Old Testament, we discover how Jesus reveals Himself as the true living bread from heaven. While Christians may view communion through different theological lenses, the invitation remains the same, to step toward Christ with open hands and receive His grace.
The sermon reminds us that coming to the table is not just a personal routine, but a transformative encounter with God. We do not receive His mercy, forgiveness, and love simply for ourselves, but to be sent out into the world to share those same gifts with others. As you listen, reflect on how Christ nourishes your faith and empowers you to carry His presence into your everyday life.
Take time today to pause, reflect, and ask how God might be calling you to bring His compassion to those around you.
