July 2014 Prayers

  • Afternoon Prayer

25 JUL 2015 · PS 126:1bc-2ab, 2cd-3, 4-5, 6 R. (5) Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing. When the LORD brought back the captives of Zion, we were like men dreaming. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with rejoicing. R. Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad indeed. R. Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing. Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like the torrents in the southern desert. Those that sow in tears shall reap rejoicing. R. Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing. Although they go forth weeping, carrying the seed to be sown, They shall come back rejoicing, carrying their sheaves. R. Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing.

31 JUL 2014 · Sacred Heart of Jesus, I come to You today with a heavy heart, for the Palestinian people are suffering, for the Syrian people are suffering. Children, pregnant woman, elderly people and innocent civilians are being slaughtered, and this should not be! All the Syrian people want, all the people of Palestine want is to be free. However, satan has unleashed great punishment on them by entering into the hearts of leaders that seek to dominate and destroy one another. Grant merciful and precious Heart that there be an end to this reign of terror. Replace to leaders who seek to lead by the use of brutal force and who desire to dominate others with leaders who love You. Have mercy on all who suffer from war, come into their hearts and allow them to see You so that they can become your followers, an if they already follow You, fill their hearts with hope, joy and the ability to endure until the war stops. Amen.

30 JUL 2014 · Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Middle East is crying for help but most of the people do not know Your Holy Name. However, just as you touched our hearts while we were still fighting our own spiritual wars, we are confident that You will touch the hearts of many in that region. We continue to pray for mercy for all people in the Middle East, especially the children, the elderly and all those who are innocent civilians. Wash away the tears that the bloody wars in the region have brought them for years. Give them leaders who love peace and reconciliation. We especially pray for the conversion of Khaled Mashal and the other leaders of Hamas, and we pray that their hearts may be touched in such a way that they will become a peace loving people. We pray this in Your Holy Name. Amen.
