Rice on Dangerous Laughter for a wide-ranging conversation about her new book, Supervillains: Architects of America’s Decline, Hollywood, political comedy, marriage, family and the political battles unfolding in California. • Censorship
• Political satire

• Gavin Newsom
• Karen Bass
• Nithya Raman

• Political ridicule Keenan discusses California’s 2026 political landscape as voters prepare to choose a successor to term-limited Gov. Gavin Newsom. Republican Steve Hilton and Democrat Xavier Becerra advanced to the November 3 gubernatorial election. In Los Angeles, incumbent Karen Bass faces Nithya Raman in the mayoral election. Keenan offers her own assessment of those contests and discusses whether the political and cultural approach associated with California could influence other states. The conversation also explores her transition from secular feminism to Catholic motherhood and why she now views marriage, children and family formation as important parts of the broader cultural debate. THE BIGGER QUESTION Who ultimately shapes a civilization? Politicians? Hollywood? Media institutions? Or families and communities deciding what values they intend to preserve? Keenan’s answer points away from political despair and toward local action, parenthood, community involvement and something particularly useful on Dangerous Laughter: Ridicule. Subscribe to Dangerous Laughter with A.J. Rice for conversations about politics, comedy, culture, media, books and perfectly timed derision. 14 OCT 2026 · He spent 14 years teaching in public schools. Now he’s taking school boards’ own arguments to their most uncomfortable conclusions. Shamgar Connors joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter to challenge what he describes as government-school indoctrination—with costumes, sharp satire, and questions officials would rather avoid. From Shamgarita’s fictional WNBA ambitions to Wolfgar’s appearance at the public-comment podium, Connors uses outrageous characters to question gender-identity policies, defend parental rights, and expose what he sees as institutional hypocrisy. Behind the comedy is a serious question: Who decides what your children are taught—and what happens when parents push back? What happens when a former teacher takes school-board policies literally—and arrives in character to test them? Shamgar Connors joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter for an unfiltered conversation about school boards, gender identity, parental rights, free speech, and political satire. First comes Shamgarita, his fictional WNBA hopeful and captain of the “Pronoun Protectors.” Then comes Wolfgar, his wolf persona who brings identity debates directly to the public-comment podium. Finally, the costumes come off—and Connors explains the serious convictions behind the comedy. A former public-school teacher and coach, Connors discusses his concerns about school policies in Stafford and Spotsylvania, Virginia, why Alex Stein inspired his approach, and how satire can challenge officials more effectively than another carefully worded complaint. The conversation also turns personal: Connors recounts his kidney-transplant dispute over COVID-19 vaccination requirements, his life on dialysis, his Christian faith, and why he continues speaking out. In this episode:
• School-board meetings and public-comment rules
• Gender identity, bathroom policies, and parental concerns
• Shamgarita, Wolfgar, and character-driven political satire
• Alex Stein’s influence on Connors’ activism
• Free speech, school-library controversies, and accountability
• Faith, medical freedom, and the story behind the costumes
• Why A.J. Rice calls comedy a civic duty Can a costume expose a contradiction that a conventional argument cannot? Watch or listen to the full conversation, subscribe to Dangerous Laughter, and share it with someone who follows the fight over America’s schools. Perfectly Timed Derision. Stay dangerous. 2 OCT 2026 · Mind Viruses, Mass Psychology & the Battle for Your Attention | John Leake What happens when an idea spreads through a society faster than people can stop and question it? New York Times bestselling author John Leake joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter for an in-depth conversation about his book, Mind Viruses: America’s Irrational Obsessions, and the psychology behind mass fear, groupthink, propaganda, social contagion, conformity, and institutional authority. Leake draws on thinkers including Carl Jung, René Girard, H.L. Mencken, Thomas Sowell, and Roger Scruton to examine the ways individuals and groups respond to fear, social pressure, tribal identity, and powerful institutions. Central to the conversation is Jung’s concept of a “psychic epidemic,” which Leake uses as a framework for understanding moments when large groups become intensely focused on particular fears, beliefs, or social narratives. Topics include: • John Leake
• Mind Viruses
• Carl Jung
• Psychic epidemics
• Mass psychology
• Groupthink
• Social conformity
• Tribal behavior
• Fear and scapegoating
• Propaganda
• Institutional authority
• The “expert class”
• Media influence
• Social pressure
• COVID-19 controversies
• Debate over transgender medicine for minors
• X
• TikTok
• Reddit
• Social-media algorithms
• Attention economy
• René Girard
• H.L. Mencken
• Thomas Sowell
• Roger Scruton
• Free speech
• Political satire
• Humor and ridicule A.J. and John examine why intelligent people can sometimes adopt beliefs primarily because those beliefs are reinforced by institutions, peers, media, or social incentives. They also discuss how modern social platforms accelerate the spread of ideas by rewarding emotionally powerful content. Fear travels quickly. Outrage travels quickly. Certainty travels quickly. Nuance usually has to take the stairs. THE BIGGER QUESTION What happens when attention itself becomes the battlefield? If governments, corporations, media organizations, activists, universities, and technology platforms are all competing for attention, understanding how fear and social reinforcement work may be increasingly important. And because this is Dangerous Laughter, the conversation eventually arrives at a very different weapon: Ridicule. Humor can weaken the aura of inevitability surrounding an idea, institution, or political slogan by making people willing to look at it differently. So can comedy interrupt a psychological contagion before conformity takes over? Subscribe to Dangerous Laughter with A.J. Rice for conversations about psychology, politics, culture, media, free speech, history, comedy, and the ideas reshaping American life. 29 SEP 2026 · Emerald Robinson, host of The Absolute Truth and publisher of The Right Way, joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter for an in-depth conversation about election technology, artificial intelligence, censorship, the Supreme Court, independent media and the future direction of Republican politics. Robinson discusses the continuing debate over public confidence in American elections, including voting machines, mail-in ballots and election technology. The conversation then turns to artificial intelligence and the massive data centers being built to support it. Could energy use, data-center construction, regulation and competition with China turn AI into a political issue that cuts across traditional party lines? Topics include: • Election trust
• Voting technology
• Voting machines
• Mail-in ballots
• Artificial intelligence
• AI data centers
• Energy and computing infrastructure

• Republican presidential politics
• Populism
• Foreign policy
• Conservative media
• Never Trump conservatism
• Rumble
• Substack
• Podcasts
• Independent journalism
• Political influencers Robinson also revisits her earlier writing criticizing the Never Trump wing of conservative media and discusses how Donald Trump’s rise coincided with a much larger disruption of traditional political-media gatekeepers. Podcasts, Substack, Rumble and independent creators now allow political figures and commentators to reach audiences without relying on cable television or legacy publications. But that creates another question: THE BIGGER QUESTION What happens when the alternative media becomes powerful enough to create gatekeepers of its own? A.J. and Robinson discuss paid influencers, authenticity, ideological disagreement and whether political movements can remain intellectually healthy when dissent inside the movement is treated as betrayal. They also discuss possible future Republican leadership, including J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio, without assuming that any candidate or faction will control the party’s next presidential contest. 15 SEP 2026 · How did the internet transform the American Right, and can the movement that helped reshape Republican politics turn online influence into lasting political power? Scott Greer, host of Highly Respected and author of Whitepill: The Online Right and the Making of Trump’s America, joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter for an in-depth discussion of Donald Trump, MAGA, internet politics, political memes, conservative media, ideological infighting, and the future of the Republican coalition. Greer traces a political evolution stretching from the Tea Party and traditional Republican establishment through Andrew Breitbart, conservative talk radio, Donald Trump, the alt-right, social-media politics, and today’s ecosystem of independent political influencers. Drawing from Whitepill, Greer discusses how internet subcultures influenced the political environment surrounding Trump and why he believes the American Right now faces a different challenge: Moving from political rebellion to political governance. Topics include: • Scott Greer and Whitepill
• The online Right
• MAGA
• Donald Trump
• Tea Party politics
• Republican establishment politics
• Andrew Breitbart
• Conservative talk radio
• Internet political culture
• The alt-right
• Elon Musk and Twitter/X

• Marjorie Taylor Greene
• Audience capture
• Conspiracy-driven content
• Followers versus voters
• Tim Pool
• Jack Posobiec
• The “woke Right” debate
• Political purity tests
• Conservative media
• Online influencers
• Post-Trump Republican politics A.J. also shares stories from his years working behind the scenes in conservative talk radio and compares the older media ecosystem with today’s influencer-driven political environment. One recurring theme is the difference between attention and political power. A commentator may attract enormous engagement online without necessarily representing a comparable number of voters. Likewise, content optimized for outrage can produce clicks while encouraging increasingly narrow ideological communities. Greer argues that political movements must eventually move beyond opposition and decide what they actually want to govern, build, and preserve. THE BIGGER QUESTION Can the online Right transform internet influence into a durable political movement, or will internal purity tests, outrage culture, and factional fighting limit its effectiveness? 2 SEP 2026 · What does it take to turn a boy into a capable man? Green Beret veteran, former Virginia legislator, Making the Argument host, and New York Times bestselling author Nick Freitas joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter for an in-depth conversation about masculinity, fatherhood, marriage, faith, family, discipline, and personal responsibility. Freitas is the author of The Manbook: A Point-by-Point Guide to Sucking It Up and Getting the Job Done. He argues that American culture has become increasingly uncomfortable asking difficult things of young men, even though overcoming challenges is one of the ways boys develop confidence, competence, resilience, and character. Nick explains why boys benefit from rites of passage, physical challenges, responsibility, strong male role models, and fathers who live the values they hope their children will adopt. Topics include:
- America’s masculinity crisis
• Raising boys to become capable men
• Rites of passage
• Physical challenges
• Personal responsibility
• Discipline and resilience
• Fatherhood
• Father-son relationships
• Father-daughter relationships
• Marriage and loyalty
• Biblical masculinity
• Faith and family
• Traditional family values
• Men and modern politics
• The political divide between men and women
• Political pandering
• Nick Freitas and the Green Berets
• Making the Argument
• The Manbook
• Donald Trump and the Trump family
• Harry Sisson
• Don Lemon
• Stephen Miller
• Humor, marriage, bourbon, and family life
Nick also explains how fathers can establish lifelong trust with their daughters and why he believes strong marriages require an extraordinary level of loyalty between husband and wife. The conversation examines the difference between strength and aggression, leadership and domination, confidence and arrogance. The Bigger Question What experiences should every boy have before he can truly consider himself a man? Freitas argues that capable men are not produced simply by getting older. They are formed through responsibility, adversity, discipline, service, faith, family, and the experience of discovering that they can accomplish difficult things. Subscribe to Dangerous Laughter with A.J. Rice for conversations about politics, culture, family, faith, free speech, media, comedy, and the ideas reshaping American life. 25 AUG 2026 · Why do radical political movements sometimes align with forces that appear to oppose the freedoms they claim to defend? Jamie Glazov, editor of FrontPage Magazine, host of The Glazov Gang, and author of United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas, joins A.J. Rice on Dangerous Laughter for a fiery examination of what Glazov calls the “Red-Green Alliance.” Glazov argues that a recurring ideological pattern connects revolutionary Marxism, communism, radical Islamism, antisemitism, and hostility toward Western liberal civilization. But the conversation does not stop with the political Left. Glazov and Rice also examine antisemitism and Islamist apologetics emerging within portions of the populist Right, the danger of ideological purity tests, and what happens when political movements become more interested in punishing enemies than preserving liberty. IN THIS EPISODE • Jamie Glazov’s theory of the “Red-Green Alliance”
• Why revolutionary movements can romanticize tyranny
• Hamas and the political fallout from October 7
• The rise of antisemitism across political factions
• Marxism, socialism, and revolutionary ideology
• How Glazov’s Soviet family history shaped his worldview
• Criticism of the Judeo-Christian political alliance
• Trump, MAGA, and ideological purity tests
• Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Zohran Mamdani
• Political conformity and totalitarian psychology
• Why authoritarian movements fear ridicule
• Donald Trump’s use of nicknames and political parody
• Humor as a weapon against ideological power
• Western civilization, faith, liberty, and cultural confidence Glazov also shares the story of growing up as the son of Soviet dissidents who escaped the USSR, an experience he says shaped his lifelong study of communism, totalitarianism, revolutionary psychology, and political extremism. And because this is Dangerous Laughter, A.J. and Jamie explore one thing authoritarian movements have always struggled to control: Being laughed at. Governments can censor speech.
Movements can enforce slogans.
Institutions can demand conformity. But ridicule can puncture fear faster than a thousand-page manifesto. THE BIG QUESTION Is America facing several unrelated extremist movements, or different versions of the same authoritarian temptation? COMMENT BELOW:

20 AUG 2026 · Are Christian athletes becoming the new front line in America’s culture war? On this episode of Dangerous Laughter, A.J. Rice sits down with New York Times bestselling author and acclaimed sports journalist Steve Eubanks, author of GODBALL: How Athletes Are Saving Christianity, for a wide-ranging conversation about faith, sports, media, religious freedom, and the growing influence of Christian athletes. Eubanks argues that some of the most influential voices bringing Christianity back into American culture aren’t coming from pulpits — they’re coming from football fields, baseball diamonds, locker rooms, press conferences, and social media. A.J. and Steve discuss Tim Tebow, Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Judge, Harrison Butker, Fernando Mendoza, and other athletes who have been outspoken about their Christian faith — along with the intense reaction that can follow when players refuse to separate their religious beliefs from their public lives. They also dive into: • The rise of Christianity among Gen Z men
• Why athletes may have more cultural influence than religious leaders
• Aaron Judge and faith-driven leadership
• Jonathan Isaac and standing apart from political pressure
• Harrison Butker and speaking openly about Catholicism
• Fernando Mendoza and a new generation of openly Christian athletes
• The controversy surrounding faith, Pride Night and professional sports
• Why sports media often struggles with outspoken Christianity
• Kennedy v. Bremerton and religious expression in athletics
• Athlete activism versus religious expression
• How faith can unite teammates across racial, political and denominational lines
• Why Steve believes the GODBALL movement is only beginning Is there really a war on Christian athletes — or are athletes simply becoming more willing to say what they believe? Listen to the full conversation. STEVE EUBANKS GODBALL: How Athletes Are Saving Christianity

17 AUG 2026 · He spent 30 years finding people who didn’t want to be found—and taking on cases that institutions couldn’t, or wouldn’t, solve. Now former Pinkerton investigator Nils Grevillius is opening the case files. What does a real private detective see after decades inside surveillance, counterintelligence, undercover investigations and the darker corners of Los Angeles? On this episode of Dangerous Laughter with A.J. Rice, veteran private investigator and The Last Lawman author Nils Grevillius pulls back the curtain on more than three decades of real investigative work. From serving in U.S. Army counterintelligence and working with the legendary Pinkerton organization to building his own private detective practice in Los Angeles, Grevillius has spent his career operating in the space between law and justice—especially when institutions fail. Nils shares stories from the surveillance world that sound more like Hollywood scripts than real life, including a bizarre investigation involving a Beverly Hills art dealer, a storage unit, secret identities and an unforgettable surveillance operation. He also explains why staged kidnappings are very real, how investigators follow people who do not want to be found, and what actually happens when a client has exhausted the conventional system. A.J. and Nils also dig into the history of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, Abraham Lincoln, private investigators versus government agencies, Army counterintelligence, the evolution of American detective work, Los Angeles crime, famous fictional detectives, noir, The Big Lebowski, Raymond Chandler and the experiences that ultimately became The Last Lawman: True Stories of a Private Detective. If you love true crime, private investigator stories, Pinkerton history, surveillance stories, counterintelligence, unsolved cases, Los Angeles crime, detective stories, noir, law enforcement history and unbelievable real-life investigations, this episode is for you. WATCH UNTIL THE END: Nils explains why some of the strangest cases a private detective encounters aren't fiction at all. QUESTION FOR THE COMMENTS:
Would you rather spend ONE DAY working surveillance with a real private detective—or never know what your spouse, business partner or worst enemy is doing behind your back? CONNECT WITH NILS GREVILLIUS The Last Lawman — Official Website:

10 AUG 2026 · WAS AMERICA CONQUERED WITHOUT AN INVASION? Investigative journalist, researcher and author MEL K joins A.J. RICE on DANGEROUS LAUGHTER for a powerful deep dive into the post-World War II power structures she believes fundamentally changed America — and why understanding what happened between 1944 and 1954 may be critical to understanding the Deep State, CIA, globalism, military-industrial complex and the fight over American sovereignty today. Mel K’s new book, “Infiltration Instead of Invasion: America Betrayed (1944–1954),” examines the decade following World War II and the institutions, intelligence agencies, financial systems and international power structures that emerged during one of the most consequential periods in modern American history. IN THIS EPISODE: • The origins of the modern Deep State • The creation of the CIA and the 1947 National Security Act • Allen Dulles and John Foster Dulles • The post-WWII transformation of American government • Eisenhower’s warning about the military-industrial complex • JFK and “infiltration instead of invasion” • Bretton Woods and the international financial system • The rise of supranational institutions • The United Nations, NATO and global governance • Communism, ideological subversion and institutional capture • Propaganda, Hollywood and mass media • Censorship and control of information • Endless war and the military-industrial complex • Globalism vs. national sovereignty • The Constitution and Bill of Rights • Why Americans must start paying attention to what is happening locally A.J. and Mel tackle one of the biggest questions of the entire conversation: WHAT IF A COUNTRY DOESN’T HAVE TO BE INVADED TO BE CONQUERED? Throughout history, civilizations have traded liberty for security and truth for comfort. Mel argues that the most important battle for America may not be occurring on a foreign battlefield — but inside the institutions, bureaucracies, financial systems and cultural organizations that shape American life. From Truman and Eisenhower to the CIA, Dulles brothers, Bretton Woods, international institutions and the Cold War, this episode explores the historical roots Mel believes help explain many of the political battles Americans are still fighting today. And her message isn’t simply to look toward Washington. It’s to LOOK LOCALLY. Understand your institutions. Know who is influencing your schools, communities and government. Follow the money. Study history. Protect the Constitution. And become a “Paul Revere” in your own backyard. This is DANGEROUS LAUGHTER — where comedy is a civic duty, truth matters, and there’s no substitute for perfectly timed derision. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Dangerous Laughter with A.J. Rice is political satire with a spine. Hosted by bestselling author, political humorist, satirist, and PUBLIUS PR Founder A.J. Rice, this show laughs where the 'cancel culture' police told you not to. From media hypocrisy and censorship to woke absurdity, cultural insanity, and power-drunk elites, every episode punches up at the people trying to control what America can say, think, and laugh at. It’s sharp, fearless, funny, and built on one code: comedy must tell the truth. Dangerous Laughter isn’t just comedy — it’s humor with a code.
