To be succinct, she's a certified herbalist, psychedelic integration coach, and lead instructor for the Botanical Mystery School. Our conversation dives into addiction once again, which seems to be a theme that's emerging throughout our interviews. First, we discuss what's considered a relatively benign addiction but an addiction nonetheless—coffee. April shares quite a few helpful tips on how to bring awareness, balance, and ritual when we find ourselves fiending for our next caffeine fix. The next substance we dive into is alcohol. Of course she would never proclaim that of herself, no good healer would, but we’ve witnessed ourselves the power of her healing hands when touching tired bodies, her caring and gentleness when wrangling rambunctious toddlers, her instinctual, non-intrusive nature while her cat birthed quietly in the closet during this interview. She’s a Dragon Reiki Master Teacher, High Coven Priestess of Hecate, Reverend of the Southern Star Church of Love, Massage Therapist, and Fitness Maven ~ before her dark night of the soul she was a nurse working in the medical field, just as much of her family did before her.
