11 AUG 2026 · Lady Abigail Imperio holds a doctorate in piano performance, but composition was never her training. During her own comprehensive exams, she couldn't get scripture to stick until she put it to music, and that discovery became a year-long project setting all 22 verses of Psalm 119 to song.In this episode, she shares the story behind "How Can a Young Man Cleanse His Way?" and why she believes melody can hold scripture in a way plain memorisation never could. Stick around until the end, where Lady shares practical ways any musician can turn scripture into song, no formal training required. We'd love to hear from you! Has a song ever helped something stick with you better than just reading it ever could?🎙️ Connect with Lady: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/musicaldevotions YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxIBUFEL0RScWoevuvpo-6A Website: http://ladyimperio.com Email: ladyimperio16@gmail.com❤️ Support Adventist Music by subscribing, sharing or giving a donation! https://buymeacoffee.com/adventistmusicQuestions or want to be a guest? 5 AUG 2026 · One of Cleon Richardson's students just spent £2,500 on a keyboard. He'll practice for years, haul it to church every Sabbath, and play for free. Meanwhile, the pastor preaching after him gets a salary. So here's the question the church keeps avoiding: should musicians be compensated? In this episode, I sit down with Cleon, a producer and arranger from Trinidad with 30 years of experience working with Adventist artists across the Caribbean. He takes the question straight to 1 Chronicles and makes a biblical case that's hard to dismiss. The church already applies this principle to one group of people, just not musicians. I push back, he pushes harder, and the conversation goes somewhere worth hearing. This one's a little different. No song feature this time, just a producer who's spent three decades behind the music, and a topic that affects every church musician you know.Stick around until the end. Cleon shares what happened to a woman he met in a taxi after sharing the gospel through music. It's the reason he keeps creating. We'd love to hear from you! 29 JUN 2026 · What happens when a wedding violinist from the Gold Coast decides to show up at a petrol station in a suit and just start playing? For Jonathan Ginn, it turned into a viral series with over 17 million views, free tanks of fuel for strangers, and a $300 donation from a man who walked up mid-performance and just believed in the vision. In this episode, Jonathan shares how he built a wedding and events violin business from busking at shopping centres as a uni student to booking corporate gigs, proposals, and Bridgerton-style wedding ceremonies. He gets honest about balancing music with his work as an osteopath, why he turns down 60% of weddings without apology, and how posting about the Sabbath on Instagram keeps connecting him with others quietly navigating the same Saturday struggle.Stick around until the end — Jonathan breaks down exactly how he thinks about making music ministry self-sustainable, and why having a second income isn't a compromise; it's a strategy. We'd love to hear from you — drop a comment on our Instagram: Are you a musician with a day job?
