This evening we have the great pleasure of speaking with Genevieve Lalonde, a truly elite athlete who's home town is right here in Moncton NB. For anyone that has been living under a large boulder for several years, I will name off a few points about Genevieve. She recently competed for Canada at the Tokyo Olympics in the 3000-meter Steeplechase, finishing 11th in some extreme conditions. In 2019 Genevieve won the gold medal for the same event in lima Peru for the Pan American Games. I believe it's safe to say her main focus is on the Steeplechase but Genevieve
also runs many different distances and paces staying in shape and keeping motivated. Genevieve goes into detail about what a week looks like for her and how she trains, dizzying to say the least. We also chat about her younger days and what got her started down the running path.
Genevieve tells up about the support of her husband, family, teammates and friends and how much of a team effort it really is. We talk about her favourite food and what she likes to do to unwind before a competition. A remarkable story and wonderful person to listen to, you will not want to miss this episode.
