Over the years, the rationale behind creating new states has been to enhance governance, promote development, and address ethnic representation. However, with the recent proposal before the House of Representatives to create 31 additional states, the debate is back:
Will this move bring governance closer to the people, or will it increase bureaucracy and administrative costs?
