Every month deserves a little looking-back, and September gave me a lot to sit with.

This month, we picked up right where August left off. We'd pruned what wasn't serving us — now we needed to talk about what nobody warns you about: the quiet, empty-looking stretch that comes after the cut. The episode was called What Grows After You Let Go.

A few things this month taught me:

• The empty space isn't a mistake — it's roots doing quiet work you can't see yet
• What grows back rarely looks like what you released, so give yourself permission to be surprised by your own growth
• You have to keep tending the empty-looking spot, even when it has nothing to show for it yet

So many of you told me what's actually taking root for you this season, and I read every single one.

Coming next: Tending What You Chose to Keep, picking up exactly where this one leaves off.
