What exactly are UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) and UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), and why are they here? In this compelling discussion, renowned scientist Dr. Jacques Vallée explores these mysteries while introducing his latest book, Forbidden Science 6: Scattered Castles. Dr. Vallée shares insights from his involvement with the groundbreaking National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS) project, the comprehensive UFO database he helped develop for entrepreneur Robert Bigelow, and the character based on him in Steven Spielberg's iconic film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Additionally, he addresses speculation regarding his potential involvement in Spielberg's upcoming UFO-themed movie.

Dr. Jacques Vallée is a distinguished computer scientist, astronomer, and author, internationally recognized for his pioneering research into UFOs, UAP, and related paranormal phenomena. With academic credentials that include an M.S. in astrophysics and a Ph.D. in computer science, Dr. Vallée has challenged traditional perspectives on UFO sightings through rigorous scientific analysis. He famously introduced the "interdimensional hypothesis," proposing that UFO phenomena might originate from parallel realities or alternate dimensions, rather than purely extraterrestrial sources. His influential works, such as Passport to Magonia and Dimensions, continue to significantly shape contemporary discussions, promoting a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach to unraveling these enduring mysteries.
