Licensed Clinical Social Worker and author of the Now Cow children’s book series, Kelly Caleb, tells of a life altering event she experienced. She was hit by a drunk motorcyclist, causing her car to flip over multiple times, before plunging her down a 30 foot ravine. She miraculously survived. The driver who caused the accident did not. We never know what the next chapters of our Becoming Story will hold. For Kelly, this horrifying trauma led to months of recovery, using meditation and mindfulness to cope with the anxiety. And during this time of her recovery, she wrote the first children’s book, “Now Cow Helps Drama Llama: A Mindful Tale for Coping with Anxiety”. Kelly also shares about the suicide of her friend’s 13 year old son, and how 10% of the proceeds of her books are donated to Operation Jack’s Village.
