All our hormones are part of a system called the endocrine system, which regulates not just hormones like estrogen and progesterone, but a whole host of other players. These other players help regulate everything from sleep/wake cycles to blood sugar balance, mood, and energy. Of all these varied players, there are 3 that I call the “big dogs” of hormone balance--miss the boat on these, and it’s virtually impossible to get “little dogs” like estrogen and progesterone to straighten up and fly right!
