Sermon for Good Friday. The Scripture readings for tonight’s service are the seven last words of Christ: Luke 23:33-38; Luke 23:39-43; John 19:25-27; Mark 15:25-35; John 19:28-29; John 19:30; Luke 23:44-47.

Because Jesus committed Himself into His Father’s hands, at the end of every day, you can take up these words, “Almighty God, my heavenly Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit, for You have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God” (Ps. 31:5).
