Now more than ever, we need rules. We adopt rules to function and live externally. Some are informal, while others are too formal and everything in between. However, the most significant rules we must live by are the ones that will govern us within. In this episode, I explore the 7 cardinal rules of life:
1. Make peace with your past so it won’t disturb your present.
2. What other people think of you is none of your business.
3. Time heals almost everything. Give it time.
4. No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.
5. Don’t compare your life to others and don’t just them. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
6. Stop thinking too much. It’s alright not to know the answers. They will come to you when you least expect it.
7. Smile. You don’t own all the problems in the world.

These overriding rules help establish peace in our lives and challenge us live with intention daily. Our daily activity should reflect renewed commitments to choose happiness, smile, or make peace with the past. It begins with willfully adopting rules that govern our lives.

Affirmation of the week: I release that which I have no control over and choose to focus on the blessings in my life.
