Perhaps best known as a film and television director (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, The Day After, Time After Time, etc.), Nicholas Meyer first encountered success as the author of the best-selling mystery The Seven Per Cent Solution, a novel depicting a meeting between Sherlock Holmes and Sigmund Freud. Meyer has returned to the world of Holmes and Watson with a new mystery, The Adventure of the Peculiar Protocols, in which a dangerous document--The Protocols of the Elders of Zion--is brought to Holmes' attention by the British Government, who send the detective to Russia to discover the origins of the deadly hoax and expose it.

The Adventure of the Peculiar Protocols has won praise from authors Michael Chabon and John Lescroart, has earned starred advance reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal, and has been cited by The Forward as a recommended fall read.
