Blog post: http://bit.ly/2hlQPJ4
When I heard the news that Meshfire, my favorite Twitter community management platform and love affair for three years is going to shut down, I sat in disbelief. It wasn't that long ago, a mere three years, that I wrote the blog post (with a sonnet!) that has opened doors to me, that put me on the map in a lot of ways professionally, that connected me with people I'm privileged to call my friends even though we've never met, and solidified my passion for writing and creating online content.
All that now comes to an end. And while I'm sad, I feel more like the boys at the end of Dead Poets Society: saddened but empowered through a mentor; not Mr Keating but Meshfire's Ember.
I'll carry the Firestarter's torch for as long as I live I believe. And to say thank you and farewell, I wrote a haiku - a poem to bookend this wonderful, special relationship.
